I am here again to appreciate this masterpiece. I really love the little details and the micro stuffs he adds that makes his performance fun/unique/playful/cool, yet still gel with the rest. He is very smart in adding those right amount, and my eyes just couldn’t stop looking out for him even though the rest of the members are equally good (that’s how I became Mingi biased). P/s: Anyone notice the way he handled the mic? Again, so smart. You can see it’s calculated on how he wants to do with the stupid mic near the end. Yet, he executed it smoothly like it’s part the performance (2:36, 2:43, 3:02). He is so clean onstage (knowing how lost and clumsy he can be offstage loll i love him). That’s what we call a stage genius.

What i like about mingi is his acting doesn't feel like acting--it just feels like he's freely expressing himself. As a performer myself, he's the first idol I came across where his aura didnt feel performative--it just felt like him. He's just having fun. He's on that stage for himself. And I love that about him. Being performative isnt a bad thing by any means--san and seonghwa are FANTASTIC examples of top tier performative auras. I just get emotional watching Mingi, because sometimes you just connect to a performer because you can feel what they feel. He's the type of performer that cannot put on an act, thus every aspect of his performance is transparent. It's an incredibly rare skill to have, in my opinion. To be transparent but captivating.
