It’s crazy that they made it so difficult to get to the fuses to change them! I’m having the same difficulty with my F07.

This video was super helpful. Thank you for taking the time to explain the steps. I had the same locking issue so I went straight for the blue 15A fuse without taking everything apart and problem solved. Thank very much!!!

Well done GasBurn. Mine was the same fuse 132 blown which I was able to access through the glove box. Love all these how-to videos on the net to resolve my car troubles. Makes owning a BMW far more affordable.

@@billzeilstra3355 thank you! These are great cars and need just a bit more TLC than others to keep them going. Glad the video was useful.

Praises mate. I had this issue for the last two weeks and now she’s all good to go again. For others, I started to have issues with a dying car battery. Car went a bit haywire and caused the door actuators to act up which resulted in the fuse being blown from overload. I thought by replacing car battery it would solve issue, but I had to replace the number 14 fuse without removing glove box or footwell. Needle nose pliers & a flashlight does the trick. Edit: mine is a 2014 550i m sport. Owned for less than 60 days.

Great to hear! Sounds like the needle nose pliers are the way to go.

Hey Gas Burn. I had the same door lock issue. Thanks to you, you enabled me to go straight to location 14, without removing the glove box and air bag. If I would have had to get to those upper fuses, I would have had to remove the airbag and glove box to get to those other fuses.

Great Video.... I had the same issue on my 2013 f10. As I had to open up the bottom I figured I might as well change the cabin air filters as well since in there. I also opened up the glove compartment box to shine my flashlight on to the fuses while I pulled them out from underneath and although I do have a needle nose pliers I used the provided tool and it took some adjustment but it was the same fuse #14, five amp. I removed the airbag but kept the cable in just so as I can get to the number 2 fuse (in case that was it) but it was actually the #14 fuse. Thanks for the vid 👉...👍😁

@@GasBurn_life Seems NOW unfortunately only the rear locks are working (via remote and/or dash button) and not the fronts. I've checked #15 fuse and it was good. Initially my rear passenger comfort access actuator was clicking non stop (when i was near that door) and caused parasitic drain. I disconnected the 4 wire plug and found next day front passenger CA actuator gone! So i ended up disconnecting all but driver side CA but front locks still nothing. Still puzzled as to the fix.

@@philippt5220 hmmm, could be bad actuators if fuses look ok. But seems like a coincidence

good stuff. I have a crank, no start engine problem. i fixed a fuse in the Control Module above the Glove Fuse box. But I'll have to check these glove fuses too just in case.

I used a long nose plier and a mechanics light - saves removing the interior panels and easier to take that stubborn fuse out, it would take 10yrs using that plastic tool they provide.

Thanks for letting me know. Yes, the provided tool is useless!

really wouldn't recommend meddling with the airbag for someone who just wants to change the fuse.... a couple of bent long nose pliers, a couple of phones for light and camera and it's not that difficult... also helps if you have a child with smaller hands to help out. I struggled for 10 minutes, but the good daughter took only a few seconds....
@GasBurn_life Жыл бұрын
Glad to see there are other options. I soak it was going to be very difficult to get to some of the bottom fuses so I decided to just pull out the airbag.
