Make sure you research: ducks poop nearly every 15 minutes and can make a huge mess. Unless if you can keep them healthy, don’t get ducks (or any pet)

It’s likely. Pekin ducks live for around 20 years so most of them are probably alive :)

When you have a lot of land or yard with big open space, can you maybe talk about how you have to do things differently to get them in at night? How much harder and different will it be to get them in at night with big open areas and little fencing? Hope someone replies on this.

I ring a bell and my ducks come running to their pen from the pond becuase it means peas, corn or tomato and I lock it up for the night so they are safe.

We never had the need to vaccinate our ducks, as they were hatched and raised only on our farm. There is a chicken feed that protects against cocciodosis(not sure of spelling) if you feel that is necessary. We always had pretty healthy ducks, they were never housed near our chickens.

I just build a concrete cement pond for my ducks...I used to dream a pond or lake...becoz in our State we dont have any water like this..and also no beach to have fun in summer...😭😭😭

C Xyooj This group of Pekins were hatched on our farm. There were two females; the rest Drakes. They ended up not getting along too well, so we found two of the drakes a new home. The females both laid an egg every day. Our Border Collie loved our ducks; watched over them like they were her puppies.
