Some additional context: The original plan was for holomem to bring specific items (like diamonds) to revive the dead. Since it's the first day, it's hard to obtain said items so Pekora added an option to participate in her future "hell stream" which Nene chose. Everyone can only be revived once. Pekora made this project as an experiment to better organize future hololive group game collabs, which means some rules may change according to the situation. Please watch the streams respectfully and treat it as just entertainment.

Could you explain where "the original plan was for holos to bring specific items to revive the dead" comes from? Pekora's Tweet for the rules of the Hardcore server plainly state 「死んだら終わり」, which is pretty cut and dry: "if a player dies, she's done for good". The reason Peko chose to revive Nene is highlighted in their conversation that was cut from this clip: Nene: "Please help me..." Pekora: "Chat's saying things like "Can she be revived with 7 diamonds?", but I'm not gonna be that lenient" Pekora: "Nene, since it's the first day, and since this tragedy happened because you were doing something out of good will for your senpai, I'm only going to do this salvation once and only once, okay?"

It’s to allow holomems to be more on the edge when they play. After Nene died, Aqua asked for the possibility of revive missions, which Pekora vaguely talked about planned items and first day being hard. It is a hidden rule and Pekora emphasize on only being able to be revived once. Rules may change as the end goal is to defeat wither and ender dragon together. My assumption going forward will be, less revives when everyone has better gears and when nether is opened, many will die and some will get revived.
