I will always admire PELÉ, more than MESSI, CRISTIANO AND MARADONA, a player who left foundations in this MOVIE, went to the beach with the boys, I can't imagine MARADONA, MESSI and CRISTIANO doing this, they are arrogant, no one PELÉ He taught him those FUNDAMENTALS, he himself was a great observer, malice, his relationship with the rival, his mental quickness, his resources, his technique, even "SOLIDARY" football, he was not selfish, unlike MESSI, MARADON AND CRISTIANO , all the balls are aimed at them, I saw this movie as a child, now I am 56 years old and I still marvel at its foundations

What a legendary video, I must have watched it over 500 times as a kid, I loved this player and role model. I had this video on VHS but it got lost somewhere in life's twists and turns, and I searched for it a few years back on kodi and youtube but it was nowhere to be found. Just now, I searched the net and your video channel came up, and brought me back to when I was 14, amazing, to this day I remember every bit of the video, especially the "As he waits his turn to play, a boy will dream, is it such a long way from his world, to this one"?! Thank you for uploading this, it really is a classic!!

This is childhood Gold . I love this & so glad to have found it to . Our coach played it for us many times on film reels with movie projector in the early 80's . What a great piece of history of king pel'e.

It's funny how a lot of things are transferable.. When i was a young boy i used to watch this video over and over. I was not only in love with soccer/football but i was in love with the expression involved. The ethics and values Pele gave young men all around the world. I still love soccer but now my main passion is making music, many things i learned playing soccer came across. One thing was to add my own spin on it, just like the narrator points out everybody has their own way of dribbling, you express it in your own way. You would learn from the greats but you would then add and adapt it to your own interpretation. I'm glad that putting my own spin on things and giving everything my own expression instead of merely copying successful people. Soccer is an expression of the soul and is very similar to music imo. its human movement and expression. what a great film.

Hey, French toast soccer.... thank you for this video. For the modern football fan : just look at the quality of the pitch and the sound the ball makes when hit (it was way heavier back in the day, and a lot harder to bend). Pele was the best of his time. Are there better players than him today? Of course there is.... football evolved (pitch quality, ball size/weight/material, training methods) and Pele was a big part of its evolution. Just imagine what a young Pele would do today with modern training methods along with pitch quality and ball weight !

I don't think there are better players than Pelé today. Pelé had a lot of qualities MOST PLAYERS if not all don't have today. But I agree with you on one thing, If Pele were here at this particular time in football, nobody would talk about the choker Messi and that portuguese Ronaldo.

Futebol evoluiu uma ova, evoluiu no quesito violência, pelo menos isso. Vocês Nutellas ficam defendendo o tempo de vocês, vendo vídeos do passado em câmera lenta. Pele did not invent the scorpio goals. They were known since the 30ies but very rare. You didnt watch a lot of Pele's video i see ... Pele is the most complete player ever with Cr7, Pele literally look like he was ambidextrous he scored tons of goals with his left, and not tap in but 30yards powerful shot or volley. Messi is also complete in a sense he can score, assist, dribble, create and control the tempo of the game, but he isnt complete in the sense of using every part of his body to play. Im a big Messi fan but Pele was just as amazing, he was the first football genius and the only one i put at the sqme level with messi and cr7.
