Nice set up bro . I got one . I recommend adding a foot steering control. That's what I did woth mine make fishing more enjoyable. Also recommend getting a tranducer extender because I have side imaging and the tranducer was having problem because it wasn't clearing the bottome of the kayak

Ive ordered the same vessel from a Canadian dealer as well. Wish i had found one 800$ off! Great score there my friend! How is it to paddle? Ive got a 55 lb/thrust motor and also have a 2.5 hp four stroke Yamaha outboard i plan on trying on it as well. Does you Hook 2 have the GPS option too? Im stoked to get mine and dress it up for Brookies and bass. Thanks for the great video, this is gonna be a fabulous craft for banging around my favorite lakes here in Nova Scotia. That’s great. I’m a little jealous, I should have went with rhe 55 lbs. Rowing or paddling isn’t bad at all. I’ve needed to many times and never too bad. By all means does not track like a typical kayak but very manageable by paddle.

I do have the GPS feature on my Hook yes. Good for tracking your routes but not maps

Hi Joe, did the fish finder/ Transducer mount came with the fish finder or it’s a separate kit I’m looking for one myself. Nice setup by the way I have the same kayak 👌

Hey! Yes it came as a package, I just had to buy the Scotty mount and plate for my rail system myself. I also had to purchase a cover for the fish finder screen which is worth it for protecting during transport

Hi Joe When you purchased that Yak, did it come with paperwork to help register bc I'm planning on adding a trolling motor to mine. I'm in Florida

Hi Howie! It came with proof of purchase with serial number from the retailer that we can use to help register the boat with Department of Transportation. But nothing in terms of official DOT paperwork
