--The kayak can be a bit tippy for new kayakers. It doesn't have a ton of 'Primary Stability', but has amazing 'Secondary Stability'.

Great review and great tip on the seat legs. I took delivery on the same kayak today and that was one of the things that flagged for me as well. Ill be picking up some protective caps. Thanks!

Those protective rubber thingies will solve that issue. It's a fantastic kayak. I actually recoded another video today playing with the kayak in shallow water; standing up, leaning to sides, trying to flip etc. Will be uploading that one as well soon. Enjoy the kayak it's the best I found after plenty of research.

Will this seat fit the 100x??? Other than cosmetic additions I don’t see what the difference is size wise.

Seat most likely won't fit 100X. Different kayaks different molds

Have had mine for a year, really like it. Am close to the weight limit of the kayak so my butt gets wet when I use it. Flipped it once in some minor rapids on a local river, lost my kayak seat, replacing it with a stadium seat. Not very stable as I'm unfortunately approaching the weight limit of the kayak. A few times I've gotten a hook from a lure stuck in the cord at the front of the kayak.

Haha from your comment it seems like you don't like it at all. In my case I love it. It's the easiest to carry kayak I have had. Great kayak. Yes we sacrificed a tiny bit on stability but it's light and agile. I'd prefer light and agile to massive and bulky just for a bit more stability. Still pretty stable really just not as stable as wider kayaks obviously.

That's true they are designed to be used as a camping chair. The rubber leg protectors are a must really. Great kayak.

Is it sturdy when you stand on it

No it is not. It's rather designed to be narrow and lightweight. You choose between agile, lightweight and narrow vs. heavy, slow, cumbersome and stable. You always sacrifice one for the other. I chose this one because I needed a super lightweight kayak. I don't need to stand on it. If stability is more important to you, I would recommend Pelican Catch instead of this one.

I bought a pelican mist which is basically the same kayak and it was so tippy that I got some outriggers for it and still have it. I'm not impressed with these kayaks the way you get them, most of the reviews for them must be paid for by pelican.

That's what I thought initially when I bought it. It is narrow yes with raised seat. It has quick reaction by that I mean it can feel tippy but has strong 'secondary stability' that makes it very stable. Just give it time you will see that it is really solid. It's a great kayak just use it without outriggers and give it time you will love it. I actually tried standing up on it yesterday and same reaction initially feels tippy but could stand on it and not fell over for a while. I have nothing to do with Pelican not paid by Pelican for sure.

You saw it before buying it right? Why did you buy it? I have 3 kayaks, a Bonafide (78lbs)that I use for fishing while floating down rivers because it paddles like a barge but is very stable when standing, a pedal drive (85lbs)to use on rivers that have a lot of calm sections and a Pelican that is super light so I can drag it up and down 30ft banks and over rocky shoals to get to areas where most people won't go. They are dirt cheap so I don't care if I drag a hole in it after 3 seasons. It just skims across the surface(paddles easy) but is not one I would try to stand in. The other 2 are 4 and 6 times the cost of the little Pelican.
