How Terrance Shannon Jr fell to the Wolves is absolutely insane. It's honestly the perfect fit for him though. An athletic two-way player who can get his own bucket, and also lockdown defensively. And now he's on the best defensive team in the league this past season. Crazy! The athleticism between him and Ant is ridiculous, then add Rob's playmaking ability. All he and Mike Conley have to do is throw it anywhere close to the rim, they'll go and get it.

@@matthewsdonnelly Overall I do think the Wolves have a better defensive identity than the Celtics, I do however think that only McDaniels is comparable to Jrue or White defensively. I'm a biased TWolves fan though, and can't say I watched every C's game like I did with the Wolves, but from what I saw of the C's it seems like some players took plays off defensively or they had team lapses more frequently than the Wolves did. Again, biased and not completely informed opinion.

We tried to tell Timberwolves fans Terrance Shannon Jr. was LIKE THAT. Why don't y'all celebrate TSJ instead of just moaning about Rob in his first game? You got TWO 1st Rd picks. You spent a 1st Rd pick on TSJ. Be happy he's balling out. Rob can come along and will develop. But if it's your team, you need to be happy for TSJ and realize you stole a REAL ONE in the draft. If it wasn't for a b.s. charge he would have gone way higher. He's gonna contribute for you big time. Which you should want if you want your team to take the next step.

You better be in shape going against these two Summer League Teams. Minnesota did great because of the slam dunks they threw down as a team and Pelicans played well also because of their steals and all around tempo. The thing I'm noticing about this Timberwolves Summer League squad is the fact that they have a lot of true hoopers. Huge round of applause to Jordan Ford getting any opportunity with Pelicans too. I saw him on the Stockton Kings this past season and was truly impressed by the way he passes the ball. When you combine that with Ford's natural instincts, a player of his caliber will always be able to get some minutes, even if its in 4th quarters of games. If Brandon Ingram leaves in free agency, Hawkins will be the most dangerous scoring threat that fills in that starting small forward or shooting guard role. Hawkins is talented and hard to stop because he's almost always making shots. I hope he, Dejounte, and Zion become a force. I'll probably have to buy tickets the next time they play at Golden 1 Center Arena.

Rob had a tough shooting night but ran the point well, didn't turn the ball over, set the offense, ran a few really good looking breaks and caused a few turnover with full court and ball pressure and helped lead his squad to a win. Bronny can't hit a 12 footer, gets blown by on defense at will, has terrible handles and literally no competive edge. He looks every bit the D-3 college player with a famous dad he is. There's a difference.
