@pelinosmusic hey, im trying to replicate the sound you got in the second part of your video. you nailed kurt rosenwinkels sound I think. I have a pog2 but i have troubles bringing back the attack with the compressor afterwards, so it sounds even and smooth. Could yiu explain to me what you did exactly in your signal chain and with what settings to get that beautiful tone? any help appreciated :)

If you’re asking me for this specific sound of my guitar in this video. I believe that overdrive(you can use distortion) & pog2 they make less picking working so you can work less in your picking with legato. I mixed the two effects not too much but with balance that I like, I’ve tried to find the sound Kurt uses before but at the end I just realized that the balance is up to my ears for my guitar so you can set up that your ear likes feeling comfortable, I do believe that you make it! Thanks a lot (And of course you should use compressor, reverb, and EQ they’re the priorities for jazz guitar)

I only use Dunlop John Petrucci JAZZ III, it gives me more soft touch with my guitar string and comfortable to hold and especially it gives me the jazzy sound for me than others, in my opinion

I think the pog is the key. I saw Kurt live, he was using the pog2 and the axe fx 3, so i don’t know the while signal chain, but the dry and attack on the pog can smooth the attack.

Yeah right POG2 is the key. But I think that not only POG2 but with your guitar tone set up at 3-4 and your special smooth picking skill will make your sound smooth
