Boy is she a stocky lass...wow, those legs. Question if I may...now do you remove an eggsack with this species, or let Mom open the sack? Thank you for my box of Merch...absolutely over the moon with everything. And the quality...exceptional. My Granddaughter is tickled pink with her t-shirt, even if it is way too large for her. Her new sleepshirt 😅 Dave, you definitely chose the right people to print your calendars...exquisite and very high quality. Definitely my new calendars from now on going forward. Thanks again, to both of you, for everything you do for this Hobby x

Spectacular and I'm glad the male is OK. Any chance of footage showing a spider actually digging her burrow. It's not something I've ever seen and maybe more of us would be really interested.

Yay🎉! My favorite kind of pairing video! Hello Dave and Camera Lady! Lovely to see you. Couple thoughts here. First, I think when the males “freeze up” they may be contemplating their life and accepting the possibility of their pending doom.😂 I would take a little encouragement as well in that situation! Secondly, I looove that enclosure! They are so very pretty. Thirdly, that was one cunning boy. Perfect form for the fast get away! Dare I say textbook? I think so. Finally, what a beautiful female! Pretty color and huge! I am crossing my fingers 🤞🏻for a healthy egg sac. Do we know how long it may be before we will see an egg sac? Also, do you know how long for an egg sac to hatch? Last thing, I think it would be amazing to see a video with one of these spiders digging their burrow. Maybe time lapse or something. Those of us that don’t keep spiders don’t get to see things like that. Just an idea. All in all this was just about a perfect video. Excellent shots of the spiders and the pairing. Thank you so much! Now I can sleep and dream of the next pairing! Take care you guys and stay safe. See you soon! ❤️🧡🤠🥱😴

I've been looking forward to this video since you posted her rehousing. I've been fascinated by P muticus since I first started in the hobby about a year ago and although we've recently started adding OWs to the collection, I think I'll wait another few years and raise up my slings before attempting one of these beauties. Appreciate the footage and narration!

@@daveslittlebeasties I did not do anything, just happened. No any change induced by me in temperature, or humidity. Honestly I was surprised to find out she produced an egg sack. It was hammock style, hung from the ceiling of her burrow. It happened in June, multiple pairing with the same male was approx. 6 - 7 months earlier. I guess it was a natural warming up considering June is a summer month.

They are under the spell of the female scent. I used to breed dogs. Sometimes a young male will just smell the female like he's inhaling an intoxicating substance. It's beautiful. Once he gets the routine down, however, he gets to business. But his initial introduction is very sweet and loving. Remember the movie "Scent of a Woman"?

Fantastic video, perfect follow up on the previous video on the topic of breeding. The way you explain and show, what to do and what not to do are spot on. I see so many paring video's of other youtubers and they are so chaotic themselves and it always ends up with the male dying, most of the time before he even got a chance to do his thing. Also I recieved the calandar, the photo quality is off the charts! Wish you and camera lady a great Day, Greetings Ferdi

Hi Dave and of course Camera Lady. I noticed your complaints on a few occasions about reflections while filming and this is so annoying and in your case very annoying since quite often you are forced to shoot through the glass. There is a very simple solution to this problem. Polarizing filter. If you shoot with your phone you can buy a phone attachment for the filter and if you shoot with the camera you will need only a filter to attach to the lens. Polarizing filters have two levels and the top one you can rotate against the bottom part and this rotation will eliminate the reflection. This is quite a cheap purchase for decent quality. Since polarizing filters do cut the light all that you will need to compensate for this is a little bit stronger light while filming. Recommended brands are Hoya, and LEE filters but I think in the local photographic shop they can give you the right directions. Please believe me the effects are quite big.

Hi Dave, Traci from Melbourne herr, Hi! What a great video, yes I slowed it down, and zoomed also, fantastic, can you tell us why the danger at the end? Is it a potential meal for her in case she is inseminated? I would have thought ad you mentioned, you need to look after the males, in the wild, finding a mate could be difficult, given the depth of burrows, again thank you for you video, going to watch some more, good luck with her, 'dropping a sac', I am always mindful of the mama spiders I see in my garen carrying their silk ball, love spider's, like all predators, misunderstood ❤
