With sacral upslips and downslips and inflares and outflares, you will always gauge one side against the other for diagnosis. However, since these are only relative gross measures, you'll still need to ensure that you have one, but not the other. For instance, checking flare, one innominate will appear to be further away from the midline than the other. That automatically makes the one that is closer, closer, needless to say. So will you assume that the closer one is an inflare or will you assume the further one is an outflare?

You'll find a positive standing flexion test to isolate which innominate has the dysfunction. They have a pelvic diagnosis video that demonstrates a standing flexion test.

If the standing flexion test or Gillet/Stork test or Asis compression test show a restriction on one side, so it's the side that has a flare dysfunction.

can you do these muscle mechanics on a person who had a hip replacement surgery ?(after a auto accident 2 yrs ago) i know the basic knee flex, should be no more than 90degrees, will the person be able to do them all and have the same flexibility like before?
