I don't know why, but this makes me think of a creepypasta called Dear Abby. Which is about a man that is obsessed with a woman named Abby and he ends up stalking and killing both her and himself at the end. So they would be together forever, I couldn't help, but be reminded of that after hearing the backstory of Larry and his girlfriend.

I think it’s possible that Larry and Thomas are one in the same. There’s little evidence to support this, but instead circumstantial evidence that could point towards it. During the game, the notes are found inside the house, hidden in places only the player knows to looks, or more accurately, in places where Thomas knows to look. Maybe Thomas is schizophrenic, maybe Larry is the true version of Thomas, or vise versus. I think Thomas responding to the notes to Larry, is him trying to cope with the death he caused. The stalking he committed. The pain he inflicted. It can be argued that Larry is a completely separate entity, and Thomas is just the latest victim/ survivor of Larry. To that, I point to the killings stopping after Larry is able to come to terms with his mistakes. Additionally, Thomas and Larry has the same handwriting.

Fun fact for those who don't know the game was actually based on a infamous creepypasta and novel which basically tells the story about a guy who recive a mysterius letter from a penpal who he basically decided to wrote the letter back to him unaware that he is literally writing back to a crazed and obsesive pedophile stalker and yeah basically how the creepypasta started with the the guy getting stalked by his penpal with him following everywhere he goes as well living under his house,kidnap his best friend and cat,killed his girlfriend and taking random photos of the guy while he is sleeping honestly the ending is pretty disturbing and i suggest you guys read the original creepypasta, honestly this problely the only creepypasta that still gives me the creeps till day since it give you the feeling of SOMETHING is always watching you when you're home alone
