This is one of those bands that when KZbin busted wide open, everybody discovered! Because I had friends that listened to crass and conflict and bands like that but never heard of Zounds until like 2004. I think unless you were in the U.K you probably would've never heard of them

Completely original and genre defying. They had the gift of talent to write, play and sing like no other group. Catchy? Oh you bet! Social message? Profound "yes". Though it hails from a different era, this stuff is timeless, a truly beautiful work of heart.

I remember back in highschool some good looking punk rock girl was selling her patches, I can't remember which patch I bought from her but I accidentally took her Zounds patch, she asked me if I took it, I said yes and she told me to keep it not having a clue who these guys are, just last year I looked them up on KZbin and listen to this EP and instantly loved it..

ngl I was kinda surprised to find an old anarcho-punk band from my hometown. Reading's radical scene has a surprising amount of history bubbling under the surface. I once stumbled across online some anarchist pamphlets produced here in the early 90s. I keep being pleasantly surprised

I'm 23 now but had Crass and Poison Girls patches on my parka through sixth form. Punk means you're different, not lonely.

finally got my hands on this ep and curse of zounds, again...it's about the 10th X i've bought copies, lol...what i loved about this band (besides the message) is that Mr Lake has an ear for melody and groove, he is a brillent songwriter...crass had the message but the music was really noisy, not that i have anything against that but zounds had a way more tuneful thing happening...they had a commercial sound i/m/o...and there's nothing wrong w/that either when done the right way.
