Have a look at some of our "off the ground" casting we do here in Europe for 200-250 yard casts using 15 foot Continental rods. Record is currently 313 yards.

I can hit 50 yards consistently but there will be times when that braid cuts me,I've been trying to learn how to not have this happen as much because cut bait and cut hands don't mix I've tried like a glove and that does fine when I'm sending a 6oz weight and a mullet head only issue is I would like to not have to wear a glove as much,I've been fishing for years never had this issue till I got my hands on 65-80 lbs braid 12fr rod and big weights

First this isn’t a setup video. It’s a cast form video. No need to mention leader. You sound like you buy premade steel cable leaders 😂. Second the weight on the line swinging from the tip(fulcrum) makes it a pendulum by definition. a weight hung from a fixed point so that it can swing freely backward and forward. Fixed point being your rod tip. Anymore more bad advice you have?

Not to throw shade here, but this is absolutely NOT a pendulum cast. This is more of a “Hatteras Cast.” Those distances are not indicative of a proper pendulum cast. I’ll hit the beach w/ 13-15 ft surf rods & bait casters & hit 650+ ft if the wind is right. *FWIW, I’m also an Elite Class tournament caster. Flame on.

Pendulum - a weight hung from a fixed point so that it can swing freely backward and forward. Thats exactly what’s happening here. Depending on where you live it’s called different things.
