Reading is full of kids "moshing". Pendulum are so amazing, bring back 2010 vibes. I think Pendulum had their hiatus at the right time to bring back chaos and new songs. It is super hard for a band to break for 10 years and expect success. They got success!!

I was there. The crowd was dead through. Not knowing most of their iconic songs. Everyone was squashed during their set. More than half of the people there were not fans or too young, and i assume they were there to try to get close rows for 21 Savage. It was disappointing cause they are legends and this is not what they deserve.

Fun fact! Rob Swire’s guitar is a midi guitar, which works in a similar way to an electric keyboard in that you can program it to play literally any kind of sound! This definitely isn’t the most obvious use of it though!

Perth local. Pendulum were known instrumental musicians before they blew up as the world wide D&D phenomenon they are now. Fair play to them. Good to see them following what moves them. Any elements of showmanship artists can muster is welcome in my book. A wall of LED video screens is mostly what’s on offer at most festival stages now. By its nature music “live or prerecorded” is a rehearsed performance in one way or another. If what comes out the speakers and what a crowd connects with in person works, they got their monies worth in my book.

Pendulum don't hide the fact that they use backing tracks, and they never have done. They are still playing live over the top of them. They are an electronic band so what do you expect when their music is made up of loads of different layers. What they are playing is also filtered through computers through the stage. You should do a bit of digging into how the band actually do it because it's really interesting.

There are also 2 DJs on stage (one of them sings by the way), 1 guitarist (who left Mylene Farmer) and a drummer (found on KZbin). The section "interesting facts about how the 3 DJs who created Pendulum suddenly started playing live instruments" (one is not visible, but this cinnamon pie is always nearby)

They needed the hiatus to change things and Rob got bored of pendulum, that's why Knife Party came about which was very successful. When they came back, they realised people still wanted them and hence why they haven't stopped releasing the last two years.
