Great video. I have a question. I'm sure this can be applied to bricks on the side of a house (vertical installed brick). I've seen so many houses that have discoloration at the bottom due to water splashing off the ground and onto the bricks. Would this help prevent the discoloration? Basically, clean the brick, then apply sealer. Can this help prolong the brick from changing to the dark brown or reddish color from the splashing? Would it make it easier to just rinse off periodically if the residue start to build back on there? Greatly appreciate any feedback on this

Another question. How well does this protect against oil stains from penetrating on the driveway?

Is it possible to inject this solution at a low pressure to a brick wall? Can you provide some advice?
@VSEALVideos5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, V-SEAL 101 works great on brick. Penetration is best when using a roller on walls to help break the surface tension and absorb any excess.

I can’t find a direct answer on the web (can’t find specific info on penetrating sealers during winter) - if I apply this penetrating sealer before Winter and it rains/snows during Winter, will the water droplets freeze and form frozen ice?? If so, would it be too slippery to walk on??
@Pccofcolumbus2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it will freeze if the concrete does not receive any sun throughout the winter day. It may be slippery when frozen. Had this happen to me with a client whose driveway never received sunlight. (Very short driveway). But the water would freeze and become slippery for her. However, I provided salt and did not hear from her the rest of the winter.

This stuff is pretty awesome. Works fine on concrete but everything else I spray turns white. Brick, stone.. Unless it's bone dry when you spray it. It says "you can use as long as there's no standing water", but that doesn't appear to be the case

Hello, if spraying on reactive sealers, we always recommend having a broom or roller nearby to help break the surface tension and disperse puddling. All reactive sealers can leave a chalky appearance if a surface reaction takes place. While this is not detrimental to the surface, the chalky appearance is generally not desired. Excess reacted material can be removed with abrasion (pressure washing, scrubbing, sanding, grinding, etc), or it will likely wear off in the course of a year if outdoor and under traffic and weathering.

I've been sealing concrete for years, while I appreciate seeing a different methodology, you are eating a lot of time with that type of application. Get an 18" roller, with bucket, dip and go. You can move excess around with roller, and don't apply sealer over water. That's a good way to mess up the penetration of the sealer.
@VSEALVideos6 жыл бұрын
Hi Donnie, We appreciate your comment! While rolling is perfectly acceptable, spraying is widely regarded as the fastest way to get sealer onto the surface. When applying reactive penetrating sealers, we recommend having a roller or broom nearby to disperse puddling and break surface tension to avoid excess reacted product on the surface (chalky appearance). On larger applications, most contractors have one person spraying and one person backrolling or brooming after 1-2 minutes. Spraying without backrolling or brooming is also acceptable, but the product will likely penetrate less and need re-applied more often as less material will be used for each application.

Hello Tony, We would be happy to take a look at your pictures and find a solution for your concrete. Our V-SEAL 101 and 102 are commercial grade water repellents manufactured using ingredients recommended by the National Ready Mix Concrete Association. They work by making the surface of the concrete water repellent. If the surface is not water repellent, more sealer should be applied where water can soak in.

Hi Thomas, Generally the concrete will darken more noticeably, and spread out through the capillaries if the concrete is unsealed. If you would like to send us a picture or video of your concrete, please send it to info@vseal.com

Get a damn fan tip
@VSEALVideos6 жыл бұрын
Hello Connor, We appreciate your interest in our video. Fan tips are great and preferred by some, but conical tips are fine for applying sealers as well, especially when dispersing puddles with a broom or roller immediately after spraying. Here is an article from the concrete network that specifies that conical tips are preferred for a more even distribution: www.concretenetwork.com/fix-concrete-sealing/sealer-application.html. At the end of the day, the goal for a reactive sealer is to saturate the surface completely without leaving any puddling on the surface. Thank you again for your comment!

I ve been in bussiness for a very long time that was the worst sample of a job I ve seen I understand your just showing how it works but spraying that starting center and not spraying it even you left spot un touch doesnt give you a even cover. should started at the edge first a roller or brush wont make a differnt if your not sure how to apply it learn first, and yes it works on pavers and walls aslong is done wright
