Thanks for showing us! Midnight, Chinese new year's eve, 1986, Hawaii was the most ground level fireworks I've seen in my life. I had to cover my ears, and run from the clouds of smoke & burnt paper billowing down the street, coming from the thousands of firecrackers hung from streetlight poles. ~the good 'ol days~

Cool to see the celebration! That is what America is supposed to be about - a celebration of our many cultures. That gives us our strength!

P6, this is a nice break - thanks. I discovered a Chinese New Years Parade in London back in '72. It was a great surprise - until then I had no idea London had a Chinatown. >;=) Cheers, Dave

It's so exciting getting to see Chinese New Year Parade. Being from a small Southern town, we never see celebrations like this unless it is shown online. Thank you Penguin 6!!!♥♥♥

That was fantastic, Chinese Lunar New Year’s parade. Wow. The DC car show is taken place until January 29th. I would love to see that. Love your high resolution images. You get closeups too! I am going to see if I can watch the entire parade on KZbin. So much wonderful stuff to view. Thank you!!!!!!

How does this compare to celebrations you saw when you lived in Hong Kong?
@Penguinsix2 жыл бұрын
Quite a bit smaller. In HK we would see small scale parades and events go ok for several days.

Afternoon now, and had to watch Chinese Parade again. I have to admit the dancers over the fireworks scared me a little bit. It seems potentially dangerous. I don't know its meaning or the significance of this colorful dance. My thoughts are it may tell a historical or famous story. At any rate, it is fascinating.
