Tbh black rabbit 2 is actually a really good example of a gank fight because they take turns and only attack at once if you get close to the inactive ones.
@catwiffhat42748 ай бұрын
also the other brothers will say a quote when they're about to gank you (unless you get too close to them like you said), even when you can't them you still know how to respond. It's a great gank fight but people in general don't like those fights so they just write it off. I'd say it's basically Shadows of Yharnam but better.
@couchpotato56578 ай бұрын
Did you not get hit by their throwing items? I hated their rematch since every time I was focusing on one of them the other would chuck knives, or grapple me to the other side of the arena. Was that changed after launch or something
@sirensoulegaming41588 ай бұрын
@@couchpotato5657 they do still use the throwing items, but the thing is, like in black rabbit brotherhood fight 1, if you focus only on the guy going super aggro on you, the others tend to play quite passively. It's far better to deal with throwing items or the odd grappling hook than all 3 wailing on you. I don't think BRB 2 is an amazing fight (tbh I think it's the most disappointing boss battle in the entire game, save for maybe corrupted parade master) but it's also a very fair fight. You get the "oh s***" moment initially that you're 1v3 but nothing in that fight is really all that bad. Romeos fire combo and Laxasia's everything are way harder to deal with. Honestly the most annoying thing about black rabbit brotherhood round 2 is the rrun leading up to the fight. Edit for clarity: the reason why the fight is disappointing is because it never lives up to the "oh s***" moment. Particularly when the eldest revives, i was expecting a really difficult fight. Was super disappointed when it was just a rehash of chapter 5 eldest, except with like 2 new attacks and his weapon already broken. Very disappointing climax, and doesn't appropriately hype you up for what the alchemists are capable of.

This. They're not as frustrating as some of Souls and Elden Ring gank bosses.
@dirac_dydx18308 ай бұрын
@@catwiffhat4274 I think Shadows of Yharnam is a "better" fight because their movesets are perfectly designed to complement one another so they can all aggro on you without it feeling unfair, which is really a great technical achievement on FromSoft's part, but I really do love the BRB fights. I find them way more fun than the Shadows, or most gank fights apart from O&S. But I have to give credit where credit is due; Shadows are amazingly well-designed.

the way i see it, it takes the best attributes of souls but adds just enough spin to it to make it unique enough they cant be sued but where they really go ham is just taking an existing character, creating an overall simple theme, and performing well based on that theme. The story is good enough that if a show came out with the same basic premise i wouldn't mind watching it. I'd say narratively it certainly isn't the most amazing story but it didn't need to be. Fun tip for King of the Puppets’ second phase, just dodge left. Always dodge left except for a very select few attacks. That flaming barrage of bullshit completely misses you if you just keep dodging left, and when you think he’s done, dodge left again for good measure. 😂

Music, level design, weapon, mob and boss designs are unremarkable. Everything feels like a decent-ish copy of Soulsborne games, particularly Bloodborne. People giving this game such high scores have either terrible judgement, a really short term memory, no idea about art or have never played games like this before. OF COURSE IT DIDN'T WIN ANY AWARD, it's an unremarkable copy of a game.

For me it didn't click, which was a shame :/ the original concept was solid but all that "zombies" part felt generic, Also the combat always felt a little janky...dunno, can't place my finger on it but it never felt natural to me, I was wrestling P all the time. After around 16hours I had to put it down, was, unfortunately. not having fun. Guess it was not made for me, still kudos to the devs!

@LuM4rex8 ай бұрын
I can understand you buddy. Recently, the label “masterpiece” has been attached to any product that is at least a little high quality and does not violate expectations. I just think that by so often calling games masterpieces, we devalue the meaning of this word.

An individual masterpiece is a measure of one's personal catalogue of work. For this developer, it is not an overstatement to call it their masterpiece.

@@kneau I disagree that eldenring is A "masterpiece" the original demons souls or ds1 perhaps, hell i'd even be willing to put bloodborne down as A contender. They put from on the map and or (in bloodbornes case) very well put together games that push that formula to new heights, and have been far more influential than elden ring has to date. Elden ring is A good, perhaps even great fromsoft game. It has not however, done anything new that hasn't been done A trillion times over at this point and has most certainly not elevated the fromsoft formula in any real way (we have A jump button now and can ride A mount everybody clap).

This game is so well made. Current AAA game making studios should learn from Lies of P team how to make whole, complete game which has Soul and everything works fine. This is one of the rare games I have played several (3) times through in a row and completed it 100%. First playthrough was challenging, 3rd was kind of easy already but still enjoyable and u could really play with different weapons and techniques.

Lies of p was my first souls game, and it was actually easier compared to sekiro and elden rings, i still haven't defeated that boss on the horse and sekiro is fucking difficult I would say the hardest part of lies of p is some if the bosses, the fodder, and the atmosphere more specifically the fear factor of it

This game is my first Soulslike, and I fell in instant love. As of now, going through two different NG+ runs with the Two Dragons Sword to practice parrying. Absolutely amazing game that is also very challenging, devs actually listen to player feedback, and it’s getting both a DLC AND a sequel. Overall, GOTY for me.
