I 100% agree with you on clones. Most of the expensive fragrances I own are after getting clones. Why risk $200+ on something you really don't like? Spend $30-$50, and at the worst, it becomes fire pit lighter fluid. 🤣

Right!? Justice just can't be done on a tester strip on most great niche fragrances. Clones you can give them as many full wears as you need to make an well formed opinion. BTW I put it to the test last night and wore it to a concert... I was right. Worked like a charm.

It's totally unrelated, but I got the new Sauvage Eau Forte. It's way better than the haters said it was. Justin Copeland was right. Just an FYI.

@@vinze_gonz_old_guy I am so glad you like it! I've tried it a couple times now and I wouldn't hate on it, I just haven't found a water based fragrance I truly enjoy. Maybe when it hits discounters

I have Apex and really like it. There's something like orris or iris (not listed in the notes) that mixes with cedar in the base wonderfully. It has also made me curious about the original BMrS. How do you think they compare?

That's a great question! I actually compared them side by side last night for the 1st time. I think you spot on... there is a soft, floral cleanness to it. Iris/orris would be my first guess. It makes Apex a bit smoother. The patchouli and cumin in TBMS are ramped up a bit more. The cumin is not something I noticed too much until comparing against Apex

@@realscentaddict Thanks for answering! I haven't traditionally been the biggest fan of cedar, which is sad because I think it's a very masculine note. If I want to have a masculine presence, cedar seems ideal. I don't know any females who want to smell like cedar! So, Apex was the first time I ever smelled cedar blended with iris. It's awesome! Cedar and Iris together are a combination I'll be looking for now.

@@Jason-Moon That makes sense. It is awesome! When I think of cedar/iris the first one that will always come to mind is Dior Homme Intense. Very different from this but if you like iris, it's one to try if you haven't

How is this compared to jazzclub I was referred to this by a freind as a elevated version of jazzclub

I like this question. I find Jazz Club boozier, slightly more sweet, less spicy, and a bit less bold. BMS's patchouli is ramped up a little in comparison, a bit more earthy as it dries down. BMS, again a bit more bold, it projects a little further and lasts a bit longer
