Penn Slammer 6500 HS what you need to know

Tighten your drag cap down a little and it won't touch your drag is all the way loose just give it two turns and it won't do that

I have both the 6500 slammer 3 6500 and HS. The HS is not as good as the regular slammer. Trouble with line going on uneven and it is not as smooth on the retrieve.

I’m looking at getting this whst rod do u use I was thinking of using a 15ft Penn rampage for beach casting in medium distance for bass and sting rays with 30 1b braid and tapered 15 to 70 leader

am gonna use it on poppoing rod 8 ft as this reel is good for popping

I think Penn creates Penn Slammer with an intention to bankrupt all the reel manufacture all around the world include themselves. I never Penn product until I met the Slammer. I love the big power knob with reel. I love the durability of the reel. If you don't mind a little heavy weight like I do, Penn is away to go. This reel can take abuse and cheap price too.
