Which is great, but we'd like to see him nail his job as head coach.

@@teekay_1generally, he has. PSU has never been this consistently great in my 40 years on earth. The program has never been this healthy in the last 30+ years. That's a fact. Until the PSU fans and donors are willing to act like the elites in the South, being a 10 win team year in and out is excellent.

I’m a Penn State fan and we aren’t making the playoffs this year with the field expanding to 12. CJF can mess up a wet dream

@@lnapjr76 I'm a PSU graduate twice, and I understand that if the man has only beaten Ohio State 1 time on a fluke play in 10 years, that PSU's chance of winning any sort championship is pretty close to nil. Don't matter how pretty a coach talks, what matters is championships.

@@teekay_1 That wasn't the conversation. The conversation was about making the playoffs. I believe they'll make it. Joe won 2 in 45 years....and took 16 years to win his first one if I'm not mistaken.

Is hiring two new coordinators the 2nd envelope for Franklin?

When they take better jobs after one year of individual success, he doesn’t have much of a choice unfortunately.

@@Meek-wo1ohFalse narrative. Franklin's coordinators have left for head coaching jobs...or been fired. They're not making lateral moves for "better jobs."

@@lnapjr76 Is a head coaching job not a better job? Lol
@nick.......2 ай бұрын
@@Meek-wo1oh I'd say it's not always better. As Franklin said in the interview, head coaches do more overhead management while the coordinators are more involved with the game itself. Our former coordinators _might_ consider their new HC jobs equal or even worse

@@lnapjr76I’m just curious, so Moorehead going to Mississippi State, Pry to Va Tech and Diaz to Duke are lateral jobs? I can understand that maybe saying Icky Rahne (yes I spelled his name like his coaching) going to ODU could be lateral but not the two aforementioned.

Penn State will lose 5 games this year, because their offense will run the same 7 plays week after week, regardless of who they play. Zero scheme
