Our offensive line was frickin amazing and impressive!!!!! 290 yards rushing, 8.5 per carry, 500 plus total yards, and gave up 1 sack, and Drew had a clean pocket all night 🌙, for 90 percent of the time!!!! WE ARE, very dangerous team in the playoffs!!!!

Most teams resort to passing in 2.5 seconds or less against PSU since it takes the pass rushers 2.6 seconds to get there. I think Wisconsin was the fastest at 2.1 seconds. It actually depends on which refs call the game. Abdul Carter and DDS have been getting held all season long in the B1G and the refs don't call it. It's like how refs didn't always call fouls against Shaq. I think neutral refs will call the holds and the pass rush can get home if SMU WRs can't get open quick enough on a slower track. SMU's QB is also INT prone and PSU plays 3 safeties who like to jump on rushed balls.

1994 Penn State was denied the chance to play in the Huge Game. 2016 Penn State beat Ohio State, Won the Big Ten Championship, then was denied the playoffs while Ohio State went. So much of those "Huge Game" opportunities were denied.

The best way to fix the playoff dilemma going forward: Go from a 12 team format to a 16 team format. The winner of the power 4 conferences championship games get 1 of the top 8 seeds determined by rankings. The rest of the seedings are determined by rank The SEC gets 3 bids The BIG 10 gets 3 bids The ACC gets 2 bids The Big 12 gets 2 bids Conferences entrees are determined by conference standing and conference tiebreaker rules and submitted by their conference, not chosen by a committee. Conferences still hold their conference championship games and the teams will be that conferences 1 and 2 entries into the playoff. The 4th highest teams from the BIG10 and SEC and the 3rd highest teams from the ACC and BIG12 play for 2 bids. This would give the SEC and BIG10 the opportunity for a 4th bid or the ACC and BIG12 the chance at a 3rd bid. These rotate on a yearly basis. example year 1 SEC vs ACC/ BIG 10 vs BIG 12 - year 2 SEC vs BIG 12/ BIG 10 vs ACC etc.. That would take care of 12 of the 16 bids. As a bonus, the conference of the playoff winner also wins a bid the next year. This give the SEC and BIG10 the chance of getting 5 teams in and the ACC and BIG 12 the chance of getting 4 in. The remaining 3 bids are given as at large bids for any non-conference teams ranked in the top 16.

That record against top 5 opponents is such garbage. 80% are against Ohio State. 3 are against Michigan when they were cheating their asses off (soon to be redacted from the record books) and 1 was against Iowa when Clifford got injured early and Taquon Roberson pissed down his leg and was barely functional taking the snap. Also, the team was still playing with 1 hand behind their back due to sanctions foe the first 5 years of Franklin's tenure and we were unranked double digit underdogs in those games.
