I really enjoyed Daniel's trick, lots of chaos and misdirection where you're initially thinking there's no way he's actually in the box. Even if it was really simple, a trick lock and dropping a piece of paper on the floor when he pops the balloon, still my favorite from the episode

Helen's trick as I think: at 18:01 ribbon and needle are positioned so they hide the table top at 19:01 she touches a sensor on the right bottom of the box (we might even hear something) at 19:51 she has to turn the table, not just the box over the table at 20:56 the "fake" record is pulled out, we can see the difference in the arrow position compared to the moment she closed the door at 18:51 at 21:07 we can hear the fake record fall into the table. (may be)

I hate tricks like that, b/c people spend too much time just trying to figure out what the hell is happening, let alone what the point of the trick even is. You can't help but fool people, when the whole time they're watching the trick like "WTF is even going on?" That was Penn's face the entire time. Just total confusion to everything she was doing. I guess it's a neat trick, but it has a terrible set up.

There must be a very fine slit on the fake record for it to slide to the metal stick, you will notice that she rotates the fake record (21:06) to its open slit to push it down the box.

The note in the balloon was easy. You see he first reached into his right pocket looking for the pin where he Palmed the paper then just dropped the paper when he popped the balloon

IMO, 2 different records are used. The position of markers on the label changes from when she inserts the record into the box from when she opens the door each time. Also, that's why she needed more slack because the ribbon had been looped through 2 separate records, the original record and the gimmick record... Without enough slack, both records would have been impacted when she lifted it out of the box. She loads them both at the same time from the sleeve, seems pretty obvious as she loads it after revealing the box is empty, how she is holding the records and I feel like I can almost even see 2 18:50. Once the ribbon is placed through, and she does the reveal that the record has the ribbon threaded through it, 20:46 you can see she's picking through 2 different records, making sure she's grabbing the right one. She's turning the cart from Brook to obscure her view on multiple records. I'm assuming the cart also has some trap door aspect , hence why it's designed the way it is. But I think the biggest tell is the placement of the "2" and "arrow" looking figure on the record label when it's put in initially, revealed to be threaded through and lowered in, and when the door is finally opened and revealed. She also seems to be rotating the record a certain way before lowering it back in once the needle has been inserted in the box, which is what made the label stand out to me in the first place. I could be completely wrong, but those are some of my thoughts. Edit: also, notice she adjusted the wooden prop when she set it on the cart and then released levers or clasps which could have acted as a mechanism to open up something on the top of the cart. It was like she needed it on there a specific way and wanted Brook to take steps back when she loaded the records, again, obscuring/hiding that there's 2 records and she flips the records a certain way to specifically have one in front and one in back.. hand placement and everything.. all matters. I'm assuming the clasps she uses when opening the wooded doors acts as a release or magnet to the trap door or there's a button she pushes when turning the cart. As I've seen with other misdirections on this show, it's key she lets them inspect the record, needle and thread to help sell the trick because the gimmick record is in that trap cart lol Sorry for the long comment 😅

When Benjamin spread out the cards, I counted only 26. Did he complete the deck with 26 3s that he put on the top? If Brooke chose a number greater than 26 he could move them to the bottom.

It’s a long n short deck. 26 3s are alternated in the deck and are slightly shorter than regular cards.

Helen Coghlan's trick is so obvious. The record she pulls out at 20:49 is not the real one but a prop. It splits down the half when needed (when she slides it back in) and each half is hidden in one side of the door. That's about it.

When I was a kid back in the 70's I had a trick deck called The Miracle Deck', and I'm not a magician just a kid tinkering. That is how trick number 1 was done, real schoolboy stuff and no chance of fooling me (a scientist) let alone P&T.

Let's see, the record... Real record and fake are both loaded in the box. Every record is prepped with a thin plastic fake with a matching label, it doesn't matter which one Brooke picks. Needle and ribbon pass through both. Hellen grabs the fake, lifts it up out of the box, leaving the real one in place, then sticks the needle through the hole of the real record. Fake record is lowered in, assistant who is in the podium grabs it and pulls it down so it rips over the needle, leaving the real one as the only record in the box. Helen opens the box, needle is through the record. Taa-daaaa! Dude in the box, too simple to even worry about. But it would fool kids. The card trick, every other card in the deck is the 3 of hearts. He just has to stop her either on (and flip that card) or after and flip the next. The guy with the screen, again too easy to worry about. The girls squeezing in the train, that's really impressive though.

The box/lock trick is a waste of time. It's a trick lock. There are electric locks that will open by remote. He wrote the note while he was inside the box. It's not the same not that was inside the balloon when he popped it.

I think first trick by Benjamin was done by swapping the card in the book or well putting one in there. only thing i'm not sure of, is how he was able to see the card that Brooke selected. only way i can think of, he memorized order of entire deck so he knows exactly which card is at what spot. even if it wasn't done like that, it's possible to do it like i described.

The card in the book was already put there and nothing was done with the book, The trick is that every odd card in the deck was the the 3 of hearts. I guess if she would pick the number ten instead of nine, he would burn the 10 cards and make her pick the 11th card from the deck. You can see at the beginning when he spreads the cards, there is only 26 of them, that's because all of the threes of hearts are hidden between these cards.

It’s a trick lock it will open with any of those keys after a set number of tries. That is why he did not want Penn to try the right key to make sure and show it works because that would then reset the lock and it would take that many times again before it would open again

Its a cascade of oldest in the book + high quality projection and holograms. Very precise in synchronization though, i give him that. Spectacular, but fooled noone in the building. Good for wealthy kids birthday party's and billionaire's nursing homes.
