This was great! I am a single momma, trying to do better about my finances and get my life together...one day at a time! I stumbled upon your channel, and am so thankful that I did. I have lot's of questions, but I am sure you have video's that may answer them, so I will look first. You're such a blessing! & cheers to us 32 year olds, living in Cali!

Best thing we started doing is forming a sitting swap with a group of friends and our family. No paying babysitter and our kids love when we have their friends and cousins sleeping over!

I’m ridiculously excited for Time Management Tuesdays! I’m a new mom and we just moved halfway across the country. Normally, I have it together (mostly 😂) but I’m struggling as of late!

Great video!! I have no doubt that you will reach all of your goals. I was able to retire at 59 and my husband was medically retired at 55.We have been debt free for about 3 years and it is a wonderful feeling!! We are able to help our sons and their families a little bit and we LOVE that. I really like your videos and I am in love with Maverick!! Such a cute little boy and I say this as the Grandma of two beautiful kiddos! All of your children are darling.

I loved this video. My husband and I always wanted three kids, but it didn’t happen. I felt you choke up, and I can relate. ❤️

Weekly meal planning is so much easier for me than monthly. You mamas who do monthly shopping are amazing. I think that when we buy a whole bunch of food at once, we eat more goodies at once. I should probably label things😂. I also love the idea of a sale budget. I have been using Ibotta, so I might save my Ibotta money back and use that for sales.

Is the new budget spreadsheet you use in your latest monthly budget update video going to be available for download? I love the new look of the template and the boxes you can check off when a bill has been paid. I would love to use it to redo my family’s budget!

Also, for formula, ask your pediatrician and obgyn for samples! Ours gave us full size tubs a few times with each child.

What do you do with your kids during the summer in terms of camps/friends coming over etc? I imagine that changes the budget?
@OneUnifiedHome5 жыл бұрын
Great question Eliza! We set aside money for summer. Mostly just so we can splurge a little and not worry so much when we are out and want to get a treat or something. But if we did camps or vacations, we save ahead of time for those.

Great vid! Would be curious about how you are doing with retirement savings, kids collage fund, net worth as some other channels are doing. But understand that is also highly private.

Thanks for the suggestion Jennifer! Once we have a better plan for those areas I am more than happy to share!

I'm sort of in the same situation. I've had 4 C-sections, and have 3 living children. I am really sad that my last baby, born in June 2019, is likely my last child. I never had a number children that I wanted; honestly I would have been happy with just one, but I had stepkids and one moved out when our oldest together was 2.5 and she cried about it for days and that made me have a second child. I was then unsure on a third but I just had her, she had her own plans and wasn't supposed to be here until 7/12 and now I'm really sad that she's probably my last child. My doctor didn't say I couldn't have more, but she doesn't really recommend it as I've been high risk every pregnancy; we did wait at least 2.5 years between all pregnancies except the first 2.

I'd put any extra money towards mortgage into escroll, I 've been horrified when taxes go up. Recently, surprised by a $500+ for escroll.

Do you prefer that your husband eventually transitions out of being a police officer and goes back into construction management?

No. He really likes being a police officer and it offers our family a lot more flexibility with schedules.

Why did you disable comments on your sea world video? That place is straight up a jail for marine life and there is nothing educational about going there. If you want to teach and show kids the beautiful life of marine creatures you should bring the to the cost and actually go whale watching to see them in their natural habitat not in a fish bowl. They are used and abused in facilities like that. Whales like kiska at marineland in Ontario Canada are stolen from their families and forced to perform for your entertainment. Kiska was a daughter who was stolen off the cost of Iceland who is now forced into isolation with no other whales to communicate with. Your money. Your ticket. Your choice. Your fault. Yes as a kid my parents brought me to marineland but that was before we had the information and data publicly known that facilitates like sea world are awful places for these beautiful creatures that by no fault of there own are being punished, used, and abused. The life in facilities like this are some of the smartest life on earth maybe even smarter then human intelligence and voting with your dollar by supporting a business like sea world only continues the cycle of abuse and braking of spirit of animals. I beg you to educate yourself on the horrific things that happen in facilities like sea world and marineland. No all day dinning pass is worth it. The splash zone is not fun, your are being soaked with their blood and tears! #EmptyTheTanks #WhaleJail Ask yourself if that’s a life you would want for you kids if you were marine life.
