Wonderful! You make me smile and it's so good, thank you. I have an idea about the cows/sheep: how about bringing some little snacks with you? I was thinking of a cereal called Sugar Smacks. They are light grains with sweetened molasses. My sheep used to LOVE them. You could lay them on the side of the path for the cows and make them happy - the sheep might come to you to get some. :) Be well, be careful and God bless.

I don't think we have that here, but it's definitely a good idea to look into sugary snacks for the sheep! Thank you Cat. Hope you're doing ok ♥️♥️

Jodie you’re so luck!!! You live in a beautiful country.

Thank you! It's very diverse depending where you are for such a small country, which is what I love 🙂

Not hiked much in the Peak District and it's about 1 hour from me so I should make an effort. I'd be trying to miss those puddles for sure even if I had to climb to do it. I hate wet feet. You're also brave dredging the river ha ha. I have a water filter that says filters 99.999% but I'd still be like will it do the trick. Then again if you're thirsty... Enjoyed the video 👍 Paul

Thanks Paul. The Peak District is one of my favourite places, I'd definitely recommend! The water has actually been fine with the tablets, had no stomach issues at all 🙂

Just discovered your channel, I’m now a new sub. Awesome hiking and love the bivvy/tarp set up, it’s a great way to be closer to nature.

Hey! Thank you, it is the first time I have used a bivvy and I'm a total convert to it! I found the tarp for the most part wasn't needed either. Thanks for watching anyway, I've given you a sub too 🙂

You look so happy and healthy. Beautiful views and great tips. What are midgets? The dive bombing things?
@jodieoutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thank you 🙂 Midges are these tiny little annoying insects that like to swarm on you and get bitey 😬

Brilliant, how far was it from Edale to your 1st camp? Re the midge problem. I use Avons skin so soft. They hate it. Look forward to part 2.

It was around 18 miles I would say. Just camped on a river outside of Crowden! I've heard that before, so will have to give it a try 🙂

How many other thru hikers did you meet during your trip?
@jodieoutdoors Жыл бұрын
On my first attempt on April last year I saw only two... in the Summer though there was quite a few. In fact, half way I came across a group of solo hikers that had began camping together & I ended up finishing the hike with them 🙂

What a cool series of videos. I completed the Pennine Way over the last 2 years through a series of circular walks every weekend…Jacobs ladder is much easier in the other direction 😂😂🫣🫣
@jodieoutdoors Жыл бұрын
Haha you know I would normally agree, but I went down Jacobs Ladder recently in the wettest conditions, there was a stream flowing down a lot of it and it was reewally tough to hike down! But yes, normally Jacobs ladder is much better going down. Especially as you can take in the views better too 😉
