nice video. I'm considering buying a house here but I don't know much about Leigh. Is this area OK? House prices seems reasonable but I'm worried that indicates it's a bad area.

There are some pretty bad areas in Leigh but the area this marina is in isn't too bad at all. Stay well clear of the Higher Folds area. Anything around the marina, firs park, pennington flash, parsonage retail park i would say is a safe bet.

Put it this way - ten years ago, you could buy a house on Plank Lane for £7k. No-one wanted to live there. Why? Because it's in a shit area. Those houses are built over an old coal mine. It doesn't cost much to build a house like those. They're all timber framed shite. A house is only worth the value of the area it sits in. Nearly £300k for a house in Leigh? No thanks! (I'm now kicking myself for not buying a couple of those houses for £7k each!)
