First rule of Pennsylvania musicology: The guys who wrote the most iconic song about a stripper from LA (Every Rose Has It’s Thorn) are from Pennsylvania. The guys who wrote The Pennsylvania Polka were from California. Didn’t stop us from adopting it as the unofficial anthem of our great Commonwealth, though.
