Dorney really is stepping up their game. Obviously Iron Menace and the new area, but they mentioned they will be adding thematic elements to possessed down the road to fit the current theme, as well as attempting to get that holding brake working again. Pair that with the confirmed "Mamba-treatment" of Steel Force, and you have a REALLY solid lineup. Not a single bad coaster! (Although their wild mouse is weak and has an average capacity of practically 2people per day).

Hahaha Dorney has such a solid line up but their wild mouse operation is just terrible and I never understood why. I am interested to see their future as I know cedar fair has a big 10 year plan for them with even more coasters, theming, thrill rides, and expansions. I would actually love them to replace wild mouse with a wild mouse that would really solidify their coaster line up.

I told you it's more likely I'd visit Hershey Park in Pennsylvania this year than Holiday World, with my 1st visit to Florida (hopefully) being in 2025 at the age of 55 IF I'M LUCKY, and yesterday you just did the best coasters of Florida. To be fair: I've also never visited Pennsylvania (or Indiana for that matter). Cramming it into a top 10 seems like a difficult task, and I think you did a splendid job. Thanks for posting!

Dorney won’t be the NEXT park to get a new coaster in PA, but I wouldn’t sleep on them now. Their PR guy has continued to say that they have a 10 year plan for the park that Iron Menace is the first part of. Given its location being so close to many population centers, I could see Cedar Fair/Six Flags wanting to expand the park further. There’s a lot of potential there.

You really need to. Hershey and Dorney alone are a must and two of the best parks on the east coast. Dorney is a beautiful, homey, and classic American amusement park with great operations while Hershey is a heavy IP elite tier level theme park.

Steel Curtain was only down 2 weeks in 2022 and closed near the end of July last year. The park said it will reopen next year.

I think Hades 360 has the best pre drop lift section of any ride on the planet and it’s not super close, but Wildcat’s is great and vastly less earth shaking haha.

So my Top 10 that I have ridden (Rules out Iron Menace and not sure it will crack the top 10): 1. SkyRush (Hershey Park) 2. Wildcat's Revenge (Hershey Park) 3. Phantom's Revenge (Kennywood) 4. Phoenix (Knoebels) 5. Candymonium (Hershey Park) 6. Storm Runner (Hershey Park) 7. Ravine Flyer II (Waldameer) 8. Steel Force (Dorney Park) 9. Great Bear (Hershey Park) 10. Twister (Knoebels) Steel Curtain would be #9 or 10 but since it isn't operating this season I haven't included although I have rode it). The top 3 are clearly separated from the rest.

Pennsylvania is my home state. I live a mere 10 miles from Hersheypark. Wildcat's Revenge, Skyrush, and Phantom's Revenge are the best in the state.

As far as critiques go on this list, I would drop Twister in favor of Thunderbolt, drop Steel Force in favor of Talon; then move Phoenix way up the list. Other than that, its pretty solid despite the fact that I am missing out on the HersheyPark stuff. Place is expensive as all hell.

It does have 9 inversions but some people say the banana roll just counts as 1 inversion only lol not sure why when you flip over twice 😂

The coaster in PA with an uncertain future that really should be on the top of people's list to ride is not themed to a football team, its Leap the Dips. Its closure this year is a huge loss, and if it ever reopens, get to it while it's still around. It's the oldest coaster in the world, and they literally don't make them like that anymore.
