I am very excited to see this new series. "Frankenstein" and 'Dracula" are two of my all time favorite books :) Going to be cool and interesting to see some of the most famous Gothic literary stories meld together along with original characters. It is really going to tell these tales in a fresh new way and remind people of the timeless messages and lessons they offer.

While this series looks amazing, I'm bothered by the fact that Victor Frankenstein is portrayed as being British. In the original novel, Frankenstein was Swiss. He grew up in Geneva and later moved to Germany, where he attended university and commenced his experiments. But even forgetting all that, Victor Frankenstein isn't exactly an English name, especially during this period. So why the change, and how can the series possibly explain it?

It is deviating from the text but it will be interesting. Since all the action is taking place in Victorian London, the characters are all natives I guess. That is my assumption personally. I still look forward to the premiere though.
