Poor Vanessa, she deserves much better than this. She just wants to be loved and wanted & all she gets in return is pain and suffering. But I know she is strong enough to break out of this thing with Dracula, unlike Mina and others. Vanessa is a strong, powerful woman. She's just a little broken, but once she sees her family return to her (Ethan and Malcolm) she will overcome this loneliness and fight back💪 That is what I'm hoping for❤️

me to , but I am not digging the Dracula will bring about the end of the world thing. This take on Dracula is not one of my favorite , however I hope she can escape the evil and find the light and happiness with and escape Dracula , but I ( being honest0 hope they don't kill off Dracula because he has been a great villain on the show

Ahahahh I think the PR folk told Eva not to reveal too much ; ) From Vanessa's perspective, it is a pretty tough call. Since S1, she has been running and fighting her 'mother of evil' destiny and she fears falling to the dark side and not coming back. She and Dorian could have something going until well, Lucifer seized that chance to say 'O Hi' and take over. And since that escapade, she had to turn him down. So that was bad experience no. 1 She and Ethan really had something, him being 'her knight champion' who genuinely cares for her and even healed her from her very bad possession incident. They had fun in the Cut-Wife shack but they both had demons to sort out at the time (him being a werewolf and she dealing with the devil) even though she found out about his werewolf problem end of S2 and wanted to continue things, he broke things off because of severe guilt and fear of hurting her. And that rejection made her spiral into a deep depression. Hell, he didn't even tell her goodbye in person. He wrote a letter. So bad experience no. 2 Also, all the people closest to her went away in S3. Malcom went to Africa, Victor erm, had a drug problem. Ethan went to America. And now she finds Dr Sweet who really is the nicest guy who says he loves her for what she really is. Technically speaking, she got things moving. He said hello, she responded to visiting him more than once at the museum, she even asked him on a date to the Jules Verne show. Of course eventually when she finds out he is Dracula, that's like the biggest emotional bomb she's ever experienced: for Dracula as Dr Sweet, it really was going good for them and she was so happy that she found a good man who accepted her for what she is. But Dracula the beast had inflicted grave hurt on her since S1 - by killing Mina, making her a vampire and using Mina as bait to summon Vanessa to him. By causing harm and using intimidation tactics on her friends. He had made her life a living hell. And through first hand experience in padded cell vision and through all her research, she knew that he wanted to cause the 'end of days' and will need her to initiate it. So during the grand confrontation, despite her steeled exterior going in to do the job and using the fuel that he is the monster who messed up her life and her friends lives since S1, she was struggling with the fact that she honestly did love him as a man. Not as the monster. Honestly, Dracula could have overpowered her at any time, but he chose not to because he loves her too much to harm her. She could have shot him and ended everything, he was actually at his most vulnerable but he knew the sincerity and selfless declaration of his love will win her over. People in love don't do rational things and her surrender was her leap of faith and accepting her 'mother of evil' destiny and taking a chance on Dracula to love, protect and serve her, whatever the heck she becomes.

I agree with bigJ09z! He knew exactly what she wanted to hear because Renfield has been telling him all about her therapy sessions. He knows her every want, fear, etc. He's completely manipulating her.

I actually believe that's what ends up ruining Dracula the fact he invaded her privacy like that. It also would mean all the things he told her are likely false. But yes he is emotionally abusive and worse still emotionally manipulative.
