Another thing I hate about people who criticize poems like this....they think it's encouraging women to go out and be "sluts" NO NOT NECESSARILY. It's just encouraging people to stop judging them for it as they would praise a man for the same. It's about EQUALITY.
@bludelight7 жыл бұрын
Seeing that I am not the only questioning the stigma placed around us is encouraging. Beautifully done.

I love this. It's exactly my thoughts when the fboy in one of my classes brags about his body count and how he talks to all these girls all the time but has the audacity to call all of the girls at my school "hoes" for "playing him"

Parental caution... I just saw this. I've only been taught to accept that I have limits even though I am supposedly "limit less if I put my mind to it" because of my anatomy. I wish my parents could see this and understand. I hope that this poem does start a conversation that branches beyond sex and sexes.

God punished David by taking away his son for that
@AVAlon1991157 жыл бұрын
Chris of course...after all David did kill someone's husband and kidnap the wife prior to having sex and impregnate her. However, David was not stoned. Were he a woman...a harlot...wow. The story would have had a different twist. I suppose from your angle the punishment is fair enough since both parties got to suffer. Furthermore, Absalom was not depicted to be high in moral character.
@CatalleyaStorm7 жыл бұрын
AVAlon199115 also, she was punished for what David did as well. Her son was killed.

were he a commoner, he would have been stoned. Alas, he was a king and as such, possesses the unfortunate ability to be immune to such scorn and punishment. Man wouldn't punish a king for his deeds, but God does. Absalom's character is of no consequence in such matters, just like the wife/husband that is forsaken in the same way. If David were a common man and were to have been found, attempting to take the wife of another man for himself, even if for one night, he'd be treated more harshly than Joseph was original supposed to be treated when Potiphar's wife had tried to seduce him, failed and then had him framed for trying to sleep with her which resulted in his imprisonment.
