Loved watching them perform this exact arrangement (exact same guys!) last week in Berlin. What a wonderful arrangement and a wonderful performance! Have loved Canadian Brass for over 40 years. While 80% of the group is different than when I first started listening, the sound and the talent remains excellent!

Hello, my school went on a field trip to see you this morning, and I just want to say you guys are truly amazing. You made me realize how great someone can be just by practicing and working hard. The concert I went to today was by far one of the greatest experiences of my life. Keep on trying, and keep up the amazing work. (P.S. I am that one kid that asked what age you started getting into music at.)

I just attended their concert in Walla Walla, WA about 4 hours ago. What a treat! All are virtuosos in their chosen instrument, and are ENTERTAINERS, to boot. Brandon Ridenour ( he left the group in, I believe, 2013) had replaced Caleb Hudson in this concert, for some reason, and the group debuted a new Brandon composition called "Doves in December", or perhaps just "Doves" (the final name of the piece hadn't been selected). I hope all is well with Caleb. Brandon is amazing...he performed Carnival of Venice superbly..

Shilke P5-4 ? Not anymore on Yamaha ?
@bd18452 жыл бұрын
I was thinking that. Yamaha have sponsored Canadian brass for over 20 years can’t imagine they are very happy!! In the very early days Schilke actually made all their instruments including the French horn trombone and tuba I think there is a video on KZbin with Chuck the tuba player with Renold Schilke.
@DazedSean6 жыл бұрын
What kind of tuba is that?
@yiannisbontis63776 жыл бұрын
It's Custom made. If I'm not mistaken the bell section is made out of carbon fiber!
@CommanderVexer6 жыл бұрын
I’ve actually gotten to hold his tuba before...it’s incredibly light and def carbon fiber
@dancullen9436 жыл бұрын
John Bontis not carbon fibre, which would offer no resonance and a horrible sound, but most likely tinted brass (so just to look posh basically)
@CommanderVexer6 жыл бұрын

Why is it that only piccolo trumpets have four valves and not all trumpets?
@masonshatney30746 жыл бұрын
TheJediMonkey the instrument is pitched an octave higher in the harmonic series than trumpet. So if it tries to play below an F# in the staff it become a pedal note unless you use the fourth valve. It’s gives it closer of a range to a Bb trumpet
