I absolutely loved this... I especially Love the bit about defining our self's... Its quite awful when people try and pin you to a board like a specimen they've captured and say you are this or that... Labelled like a flimmin pot of Jam simply because they've heard your voice whispering or shouting on about anything..... Who knows really, words are not sculpting tools... You cannot be defined by a set of them! Anyway Penny the man has a phenomenal place in my heart... A worthy warrior of our current age... Our tribe maybe scattered and Our Ashes will be one day too... I would Love him to meet my trusted companion... A Beautiful Rabbit named Tina... She truly is a Golden Queen of the highest order.. Apart from her... and her ability to lift me... I feel as if my path has already begun to descend in 2 some hellish hole... Whereas I feel Penny's totally grounded and will be lifted up in2 the bosom of compassion and will always be held on high.... I hope our paths cross... One day.... Ps. We had no Locks on our doors. XX Subscribed btw

great interview this. Thatcher letting council house go caused a shift. (from school, "70% OF THE WORKING CLASS THINK THEY ARE MIDDLE CLASS" . ) she knew that home owners are more likely to vote tory,

I also think Tony Blair was a shill. Time and time again he said in speeches he was focused on creating a 'Classless Society'. Even Alistair Campbell echoed this mantra in interviews etc. Basically, building on the social engineering of the Thatcher Reich, they convinced the working class that they were middle class. Basically, now, someone who has a pair of £200 trainers, a 50" TV and a frigging air fryer thinks they are middle class. The reality is that in any society, manual labour and all the work that is required to maintain a society is done by 90% of the populace: the working class. It shows what contempt the 'ruling classes' have for the rest of us and that if you erode free thinking and manipulate people via 'education' and media, what you can achieve.

His nostalgic look back at football linked nicely to the early talk about tribes. I would never have expected thay from Penny Rimbaud. Interesting to hear. Thank you for the interview

Bit sad to hear Penny referring to the PM by his first name. The whole country has been groomed to talk about the Gangstopath as if he's their pal. I agree that in the early 80's the balance could have been tipped. Thatcher hadn't yet consolidated herself fully and there was still a lot of motivation in other approaches. After the miners' strike though, it was over. The decades since then have been, for me, like some weird cartoon, watching the seamy sides of human nature being legitimized and rewarded. The cocktail of free market economy, postmodern relativism and identity politics hasn't brought us anywhere good. My father, who was born in 1916, bought me Crass records for my 16th birthday. I think he enjoyed subverting expectations by going into the record shop in his suit and asking for the titles. He was a closet anarchist, living his dream through me!

You talk in extremes, and it is you who spoke of hate, not me. And as for being sentient, of course Rimbaud is sentient, as are you, as am I and all others. It is I who am sad, not 'it'. You lack nuance.

@Ondrya Wolfson The reason I didn't engage in a different way is because your questions were rhetorical, at least they seemed so, and as such they weren't a basis or starting point for discussion. Best wishes to you too :)

I see it the other way. I think people call him Boris almost as a sign of disrespect. It’s such a strange name for a British PM. It serves him up as an entity rather than a person...

it was never a good idea to remove ones self from the shell of pacifism . think more of it being an indestructible bubble that can only get bigger. ok, minds that hate are not ever going into the bubble but reality dictates that we have to live our live without them. just pity them and live love & peace

Skeptics! I'd put my life on it. Not that he'd particularly choose a side , in the interests of not slipping into the divide and conquer psi op. I'd be very surprised though if he'd take the test himself , let alone the jabs.
