Penny and Sheldon had much more chemistry than they did with Leonard and Amy. Everybody says that they are like siblings. Even if it was like that, it would be extremely depressing to be married to a person that doesn't make you as happy as your "sibling" does. Penny and Sheldon are both confident and comfortable in their skin and supportive of each other. Penny would never push Sheldon to physical intimacy unlike Amy. Sheldon would always encourage her and believe in her. I know that their relationship would work
