Beautiful card as usual! These stamps don't look like much until you add color but when you do - amazing!

I was at a stamp show this past weekend and saw this stamp. I didn't get it because I couldn't figure out how to get that detail into the image. Sure wish I had seen this video last week because I sure would've bought this stamp. I love how your highlighted it with the taped off area too. Thanks for sharing this amazing look.

I need that stamp press! My hands shake and ruin so many cards when I stamp. Love this video, can't wait to try it! Wish you could teach a class in Phoenix AZ

Beautiful as always, Jill. The flower part of the stamp looks pretty solid. I’m not sure I could figure out where to color it to get the detail you get.

Thanks so much for your kind words and for watching, Linda! :) I apologize that it is difficult to tell in the video, but the design and details of the flower are very visible on the rubber of the stamp itself. Happy stamping!

I can't really afford the memento markers. What else would you recommend.......Tombow or Spectrum Aqua maybe???
@PennyBlackInc6 жыл бұрын
I love using my Tombow Dual Brush Pens for this technique! They work great. Watersoluable markers work best. (Personally, I haven't used the Spectrum Aqua markers so cannot say yes or no-- sorry) Happy stamping! -Jill

Going to give this a try. I feel comfortable working with the markers and ink but when I add water it becomes a hot mess. Jill, is there a reason you are using watercolor paper if you are not using water?
@jillianavery826 жыл бұрын
Lori Fodor Thanks for watching and for your comment! When I started I wasn't sure if I was going to use water so I used watercolor paper just in case. I also really like the thickness and the way the inks absorb into the hot press watercolor paper whether I use water or not. But you could certainly do this technique on smooth cardstock if you don't plan to use water. Happy stamping!

Do the brushstroke stamps only work well with felt tip markers or can you use a brush marker as well on your stamp?
@PennyBlackInc6 жыл бұрын
The main thing you want to look for is that the ink in the markers is watersoluable, not alcohol ink markers like Copics. Hope this helps answer your questions. :) -Jill

I have looked everywhere and they don't have Canteloupe and Ladybug as pens. Please help!

I can't find the memento pens by color, they are all in 4 packs with one name for the pack so how do I find the colors you are using? I just bought the press and the only stamp pads in those colors were small teardrop shaped (not like what you are using). Please help! Where do you buy your supplies?
@PennyBlackInc6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for watching and for your comment. I have had these supplies in my stash for quite some time, but I just googled the items and found several listings, including on Amazon. A google search of, for example, 'cantaloupe memento ink pad' or 'lilac posies memento marker' should help you locate the items from a retailer that works best for you. Happy stamping! -Jill

Can you use Copic markers for this technique?
@PennyBlackInc6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and for your comment! I do not recommend using Copics directly onto your stamp. The ink will dry before you are able to stamp it. Water soluable inks and markers are best. Happy stamping!
@kkmkr23423 жыл бұрын
why do you need watercolor paper - 140#? couldn't you use regular card stock?
@PennyBlackInc3 жыл бұрын
You could certainly do this technique with cardstock or bristol paper. I like to use watercolor paper in case I decided to add water. Happy stamping! -Jill

Those memento markers rock, i have the complete set, i use them when i want an archival effect without the stamp being stained caus it isnt alcohol like an alcohol brand like stazon does.. Best stamp basics imho next to watercolor and a stamptool. mine is from memory keepers. - half a misti price twice the space,lol -
