Literally everyone knows this! The original Halloween and Halloween II used the same mask (William Shatner mask) and every other film had a different mask! The 2018 installment was supposed to be the mask used in 1978 but the mask wasn’t on hand so they made one from scratch supposed to resemble the original mask used!! I know Halloween gets a bad rep for being "satanic", but actually, it's quite the opposite! When Christians adopted Celtic traditions to Christianize them, they started calling the Celtic holy day of "Samhain" (pronounced sow-wen) "All Hallows" (which means "All Saints"). They made November 1st a day to celebrate Saints, so the day before started being referred to as "All Hallows Evening (Eve)". Kinda like how we refer to both Christmas and Christmas Eve, the night before Christmas. Eventually, "All Hallows Evening" was shortened to "All Hallows Ev'en", then "All Hallowe'en", then just "Halloween". We dress in scary costumes not to invoke evil spirits, but to keep them away by fooling them into thinking we are also spooky spirits. Jack-o-Lanterns serve the same purpose; the scary face and light are supposed to scare away evil spirits and demons. Really, Halloween is supposed to be about the triumph of Good over Evil, Light over Darkness, Christ over Satan, etc. We are meant to laugh at the absurdly evil and scary as to say "I am not afraid of you! See, I am going out and getting candy in the dark! You can't get me, demons!" So next time someone claims Halloween is "satanic" or "pegan", remind them about all this! ☝️🎃
