Having flashbacks of my youth, going to punk rock shows, playing in bands, skateboarding ramps, living by my own rules, supporting only myself, living 'professionally single', going to college, working hard, partying harder in the simple and good ways that is should have been and was... I love my life now, but the friends I lost I still mourn (stupid suicides, drugs, wrecks) and the friends I let go.. It's not them I miss as much as MYSELF and WHO I WAS. The music makes me tear up now.

Reminds me of when I was a senior at MCHS, used to skate down to 16th in HB, hang out with Adam and Justin. Just chill on the strand, listen to chili peppers, DK, and other old punk albums. That was when I saw PMA play and then first PW shows in backyards. Cops would come and Fletcher would have to bail out over the fence. Yep, wish we could go back but song says it all.

Well ok, and I agree the best Rise Against albums are probably the first ones but still, I'm not ready to call them emo yet, they are WAY less worst than most. I think their last album is not that bad, they still have a couple of songs that sound just like their old ones, don't you think? I mean, if you look at an old band like The Descendents, their first to last album, 1996, they sound a lot more mainstream than they used to, but I think it's a natural band evolution. That's also true for NOFX

Yeah and I spit on Fall Out Boy but I'm not so sure about punk being dead. We still have some good punk rock, Bad Religion is still alive, so are NOFX and other bands like that. Rise Against, which is mainstream, still has some brilliant lyrics. I think the genre might survive, and hopefully, the emo wave will not. Propably not in fact, since they cut themselves and shits. No but seriously I hold on to hope.
