The idiom works for any language, he's just looking at a metaphor literally rather than figuratively, which is still funny, just not really based on him being German.

Madison Brunk Of course, that's why their idioms. It's like saying childrens' folktales are generally _really_ messed up. Yeah, they are, but that's exactly because of what they are meant to be for. The Germans have their own idioms, one of them being "Ich verstehe nur Bahnhof" I understand only train station. It's used to say that someone can't keep track or pay attention because they're 'somewhere else' in their head. Basically. I agree, idioms are weird.

I'm brazilian and the city i was born, was where Mr. Ziegfried Fischer (do some "googles") Stablished the first gymnastics training center in Brazil. After, the training center became the first German Club in Brazil (SOGIPA - "googles"), and then the neighbourhood had german schools, started celebrating Oktoberfest and other German festivals. I've had some training with Mr. Ziegfried and his 2 sons, I had many German athletes staying in my house for training camps German culture has always been a part of my life. I wouldn't say I celebrate them like if it is carnaval in Brazil, but I do celebrate them as a part of my sports club tradition. Keep it up Flula, you're very amazing!
