I am glad to see the changes. Can't tell you how many of us were expelled for these rules. Or as our home church found it "Falling out of the will of God". I personally expirenced the wrath of not having a cleanly shaved face! Don't believe me look up student handbook 1998!

Asking as a prospective student, why are some of the original rules still in the 2023-24 handbook? Specifically the no mixed groups bit can still be found on page 23, "Students may not be off campus in a mixed group without approval, without an authorized chaperone." Perhaps, was the permission part implied in the change to the mixed group policies?

Now for the next step: Something more reasonable like allowing women to wear long women's pants, and allowing fully grown adults to listen to classical jazz and go to the movies with their family. Please stop treating staff and full-grown adults like children. The Bible records more R-Rated content in it than the movies we will let our children watch. Holiness is not found in keeping the traditions of men, but God. Trust people to guide and raise their families with discernment in the LORD.

Really? Since that goes against the Word of God, you think a Christian college that is founded on the Word of God is going to say, “Let’s just ignore parts of the Bible to please the world”? There are thousands of other colleges to choose from if people don’t like the rules or what the Bible says.
