Today March 18th 2023 it is your birthday, Humberto! By chance I saw this video. I lived next to your sweet granny, señora Juanita, on Calle Bueras con Ibieta. You played soccer with your cousins Manolo and Alejo. And I would spy on you guys from a small window; my mother would get annoyed with the noise and grab the football from you all. I also live in the USA. I left Chile in 1983. Anyway, I admire your wonderful brain and so proud of your super achievements. Feliz, Feliz septuagésimo segundo cumpleaños, Humberto, surrounded by your loved ones!

So glad I just discovered this guy via David Foster's music. He was making those airy 80s reverb pad driven mixes before most everybody. That sexy dream like ballad sound has been reused by so many mixers but I can tell he was one of the pioneers being the earliest Ive heard use it. ive been chasing that sound like a mad scientist for years as a mixer & I can tell this guy is an elite in its origin if not the THE creator of it. I was mesmerized by Dana Chappelle's work w/ Walter Afanasieff on the Mariah Carey & Celine Dion records but Im glad to have discovered that "sound" was being done in FULL STRENGTH half a decade earlier in David Foster's work mixed by Humberto.

Epic moment when both Dave & Humberto realized they have the same birthday. That was like an Eren & Zeke moment when they touched hands. The rumbling begins lol.
