I like Rhode's version of Tali way more. It's closer to what I imagined, and it made sense. A quarian who has been living in a suit, sheltered from any kind of light or bacteria is probably going to be a pale, fragile looking baby. No need for hair (very little cold when suit protects from that) little pigment (very little sun when suit protects from that.) That looks very much like what my headcanon Quarians look like.

I only ever remember taking Garus along for this one and he comments "Damn! What the hell happened here??" when you enter that room.

Though that one's where the Blue Suns took it over and I assume executed the people who comprised the pile of dead bodies in one of the rooms. Rannoch was essentially gifted back to the quarians by the geth, at least the way I played it. Last time I talked with Tali about it, she said they were helping tremendously, and she even had some in her suit's digital environment handing things like immunology and so on. You might be able to get a game where the quarians and geth are still scrapping with the remaining reaperized "Heretics." But that's going to be a fairly short story, I would think. Wasn't it something like

Love, LOVE the unused EDI concepts. I think they went with the one we get in the game because of the Joker-EDI story. Making her avatar look more human meant that their romance was more believable I suppose? But damn, some of those designs were sweet.

I thought the Lore behind them was that they were originally birds but over time the Radiation on their planet hardened their feathers into a scaly reptilian form... kinda like how The Krogans "Skin" got hardened by the nuclear radiation after they almost nuked themselves to death, they used to be soft. One thing is for certain though The Salarians used to eat flies.

I always thought they did an impressive job with new alien designs on ME. Turians are probably my favourite, but Krogan design is astonishing as well. We went through a period in movies where aliens were just people painted different colours, and even as CGI and prosthetics got better, it's still rare that we encounter aliens as believable and as interesting as some of those ME concepts. Great trilogy, despite 'that' ending.

The Flesh Aliens sounds like a funny concept. Would have been amazing for world building. Like there's the Elcor which help to represent non humanoid races. I think they're the only main citadel race that isn't bipedal. Would have been interesting to see another full race that wasn't just another human silhouette with different paint.

Wish they would've gone with almost any of the EDI concepts over what we got but honestly even with a better design I doubt I would've been much more of a fan than over where I'm currently at with her. The character & the love story with Joker just completely falls short imo & definitely could've been handled much better. As for Tali like others have pointed out fans loved Garrus even though he was fugly as sin so hopefully when it comes to the Mass Effect Legendary Edition they will fix that major f*** up. Just go with Her original design which was much better

For me it's just a bullshit and joke of Bioware about quarians, the race that they had time of 3 games to make them. They had so much time and yet anything they could do is photoshop some human girl's photo. If they had some idea at first time, why the hell they didn't use it? That unused race: That would be terrifying and brilliant at once!
