What happens with a ROTH IRA since it's Taxed as it's deposited while working and then when it's Distributed? Does it get Taxed in the US and in My case possibly if I choose to Move to Italy after I'm Recognized as an Italian Citizen?

If the employer puts in contributions and we live in a country where it's not taxable, like Germany, do we need to report it anywhere still? Or does that mean it doesn't need to get reported on the tax return?

If your pension is using an index fund or ETF, is that considered by USA a PFIC when you retire and start to withdraw?

I am a U.S. citizen who lives 5 months a year in Slovenia. If I stay in any country over half of the year, I will become a tax resident. A tax advisor in Slovenia told me that as a tax resident in any European country, I would have to pay tax on my yearly unrealized gains from my U.S. Traditional IRA. The U.S. will charge me tax on my distributions later. Is there anyway to avoid double taxation on pensions while living abroad? If I take my gains out each year to avoid double taxation thru a tax credit from the U.S., I will have to pay a 10% early withdraw fee.
