Thanks for posting this video Martin. We have visited Saltaire and many other of the sites that you have featured. All very interesting, including the details on processing film.

nice "little" video. I do love the Pentacon Six too, I'm using mine primarily for portraits due to the smooth rendering of the 80mm lense.

At 07:50 you showed the old school. Beautiful building but just look at that wretched modern sign they put right in front of it. That sign ruins all hope for a great architectural photo. It's an eyesore like a Prius parked in front of an interesting subject.

Dear Martin, thank you for your valuable lessons in photography. I would like to ask you about the mechanics of the Pentacon six tl. Is it true that the film transport is not reliable? Happy Sunday, Edoardo from Milan

I bought a Pentacon Six NEW in 1971 for £112 from 'Gifford Boyd' dealers of Hastings. I had to have a new shutter after a few years. Now it has gone wrong again - shutter speeds all over the place -- have you ever had YOUR one serviced and re-lubed ? If so Where ?
@martinhensonphotography4 жыл бұрын
It was serviced and modified here before I bought it www.baierfoto.de/,Peter, the modification was this, works a treat www.baierfoto.de/fiadco.html

Hi Martin. What do you scan your negatives with now. I tried film with an Epson V750 but couldn't get sharp scans. Regards Barrie
@martinhensonphotography4 жыл бұрын
I scan my 35 and medium format in the Nikon 9000ed scanner, for 4x5 I use the Epson v800 , i Mount the 4x5 negs on the Epson wet mount holder, however, I don’t use scanner fluid, I place a piece of anti newton glass over the negative so effectively keeping dead flat, the Epson flatbeds are decent scanners but agree they don’t output the same level of dmax or sharpness the dedicated scanners do, it’s would be great if Epson introduces a auto focus flatbed, maybe one day , thanks

@@martinhensonphotography Thanks Martin. I agree, it surely wouldn't be to difficult. Regards, Barrie
