Pentagon releases footage of hundreds of 'highly concerning' aircraft intercepts by Chinese planes

The Pentagon has released footage of some of the more than 180 intercepts of U.S. warplanes by Chinese aircraft that have occurred in the last two years - more than the total amount over the previous decade and part of a trend U.S. military officials called concerning.

@@knsbi735nabmura3 the reason we're so focused on the china sea is because of how they use it, they're always trying to use it for naval harassment, Ariel harassment, harassing taiwanese radars, making mounds of sand in the sea to say it's their island so that they can expand their maritime borders. Aircraft interceptions are no big deal, unless they're just being dicks in the air. They've done worse, like permanently blinding sailors with lasers. Also have you heard of the Chinese sponsored civil war in Myanmar?

US: 180 intercepts in two years Japan: 722 scrambles in 2021 according to Bouei-Hakusho China has been so kind to Japan. They let us practice

It’s literally a Russian or Chinese made MiG-29, which is Russian designed, and visually has more in common with the Russian designed Su-27 and American designed F-15.
