Your post is such a low information take. Chinese spy satellites monitor the US every day. The balloon was essentially a budget temporary satellite at 60,000 feet. And shooting it down over the US, with it bus size payload, would have put lives at risk. They shot it don’t as soon as it passed over the oxidant and recovered the debris. We gained more intelligence from recovering the debris than China likely did from their mission.

The most advanced drone Iran can build is the Shaheed drones. They are basically advanced RC airplanes with a boom-boom built in. These drones are NOT Iranian. A foreign adversary would not fly drones over the "important strategic location" of New Jersey, with all navigation lights lit from a "mothership" off the coast.That's ridiculous. It's most likely miliary, defense contractor, or police surveillance drones. If it's defense contractor testing, they will not comment on what they are, since it's proprietary tech.

If you shoot down a drone the size of a S.U.V. and miss what you used to shoot it down with still comes down in a populated area. And if you did hit a drone the size of a S.U.V over a populated area. All the fragments of that drone come raining down on homes on people walking around in the streets with cars driving on them. Which if a drone dropped a grenade of some other things that caused destruction they could justify shooting the drone down because it was a threat more then just flying around. And chances are it's some type of phycological game the government is playing on the population for whatever reason.

@samanthab1923 they have a recent Drone testing facility in New York and other states as well the government allowed to be created by different companies that make drones for the military. So even though cops and some others like a governor may have not known where the drones came from. They would be told if they asked the right people. If I know about where the drone testing sites are in New York and Nevada and North Dakota and other states as well. All these governor's and cops and F.B.I should easily be able to know also. But many times things get all out of control with the news media which then people get all worked up wondering. Oh no maybe it's aliens from another planet. Or it's China or Russia or Iran. When no it's the U.S having private military drone makers testing out some new drones they made.😊

And then other hobbyists deciding for fun to go out and fly their drones around at night with having our lights on them adding to drone sightings. I worked at Raytheon Research for 15 years the company makes all kinds of radar and missiles and different infrared materials. And other military things used in the military. The government does not want to tell the public it's testing new drones. Because what they tell the public they are also broadcasting to the rest of the world including its enemies. So it creates a problem for the public. Because peoples curiosity and wanting to know about something has some all upset. Drones are the new weapons of choice. There are many drone schools where a person can go too. Which then they might be able to get hired and make good money. Because if you learn to use the controls on operating a drone that flies. Your also in good shape to operated underwater drones that came out. And underwater unmanned submersibles for the oil companies that drill off shore and other people who go looking for old shipwrecks. It pays very well. And for many it would be a fun job like playing video games and be making money.
