The amount of different emotions I had for straight 25 minutes is insane. Started with wooseok's vocals, I LOVE HIS VOICE OMFG HE CAN PASS AS A LEAD VOCAL I SWEAR TO HEAVENLY BEINGS, I almost cried. Then shinwon just being him, literally completely lost because I was being dramatic with wooseok's performance while I can't stop rolling on my bed laughing in shinwon's hahaha. I'm so proud of shinwon, he really has a great voice and even though he placed last, I was deeply moved with his performance. Changgu's performance was breathtaking, I could feel the sincerity in his acting and in his vocals, for some reason I was so overwhelmed with emotion I cried, I was just so in awe, the man loves the stage but more important the stage loves him, I can't get over his performance!! I was so shocked when he said he wasn't in the best of conditions and was still able to pull that heart-warming perfomance, I can't wait to see him in more musicals, dramas, etc... and watch his vocal ability continue to grow and blossom!! ❤️ Although Shinwon got a low score, I honestly really loved his performance. I liked the fact he took the time and effort to pay homage and respect to Changgu's song. His performance was sincere but still kept in line with his unique style of performing and his personality. Shinwon-styled Changgu song!! I understand why Changgu loved it, I did too!! ❤️ Hui's performance was as Yuto described, "cute" but it the most sincere way. He took a genre he hadn't really tried out before still shone brightly. He was able to infuse the performance with his own style and personality, which just made it all the more enjoyable!! His performance was fun and enjoyable to watch but one close look and you can tell he put a lot of time and effort into it. He may have looked like he was having fun but listen to the vocals and they remained consistently immaculate throughout (which I genuinely thought was insane). 역시 우리 리더!! ❤️ Yuto deciding to perform one of his own songs genuinely warmed my heart, it's not something he does regularly so this was an awesome feat. I'm glad he took Hongseok's advice from the previous Variety Lab episode because his track was amazing. The beat especially stood out to me as unique and I love that his lyrics incorporated the three languages. Him rapping in all three shows how far he has come, to a point where he is confident enough to combine them into cohesive sentences. In the future, I look forward to hearing more of Yuto's tracks on youtube, SoundCloud and in their albums!! ❤️ Wooseok's performance style was simple and understated but focusing on the actual performance will highlight how hard he prepared for this. As he mentioned, his voice is very used to rap, and I can say from what I've seen across various genres of music (Korean and non-Korean) that rappers that try to develop their vocals go through an extremely hard time. Wooseok's vocals showed the emotion behind the song with a sincere and innocent tone. I think Jinho would have been really proud to see that performance. Our Penjelbe did a great job!! ❤️ Hyunggu was a shining star today. Taking something he is known for, i.e. dance performance, and combining it with a style of music that he likes was a great idea that gave birth to the amazing performance we saw. The power in each of his steps could be felt through the screen, coupled with his vocals the performance was an amazing rendition of Rain's original. Bringing in dancers was definitely a good to choice to add to the overall performance but it was great that Hyunggu still shone brightly! This is why Hyunggu is PENTAGON's main dancer, I can't wait to see more dance routines and performances made by him!! (my favourite Hyunggu-made choreography is still 'Like This'!!) ❤️ Hongseok's winning performance was an amazing feat. There's so much I want to point out beyond the hype of the actual performance, such as him learning the lyrics in full English to the song. Even some of the most talented American rappers can't pull off Eminem's iconic verse within such a short time frame so the fact that a vocalist to pull it off to such an extent was amazing to see! He was also able to embody the original vibe and style of Em's performance, as a fellow Eminem fan I can say that I loved his commitment to the outfit styling and the way he delivered the rap. I love Hongseok's vocals and now I've fallen in love with his rap!! ❤️ PENTAGON FIGHTING!!!!
