You just ruined the diffuser by standing so much pressure on it. It will leak like crazy now.

Use wd40 or other penetrating oil

I'm wondering the same thing. We've got it apart & cleaned up, now how do we put the new motor on? Bet it doesn't go on the way this one came off with updates, etc. Too bad you didn't finish the job! Will have to thumbs down for now.

Why didn't you just change the bearings in the motor instead of replacing it? These motors are not cheap. The bearings (front/rear) are only about $10 - $12 for both. There are a couple videos demonstrating the bearing replacement. Good video as far as it went...
