I love this. It's the story of Tristan and Isolde, told from the point of view of an eavesdropping horn (presumably crafted by the witch Morgan le Fay). This fingerstyle arrangement is breathtaking, worthy of Bert Jansch! You have some chops, Pierre!

@@oldpicker199 Hey Old Picker, I love your videos! I'm using them to figure out some Pentangle songs and saw that you email out tabs of your arrangements. Could you send them to me? My email is dmoreholt@gmail.com I'm currently working on Hunting Song, but if it's all the same I'd take all the Pentangle stuff. Really I'd take as many tabs as you'll send, never know what songs I'll fall in love with in the future! Thank you!

hello and thank you for the compliments. I'm not sure I'll make any tutorials having learned everything by myself I don't have the patience to teach other people . however I can send you tabs if you leave your email and when I have nothing left to play which should happen pretty soon I will maybe play some of my songs at a slower pace which should make it easier to figure out what I am actually playing for other guitar players. all the best from pierre

plain normal tuning
@kingrobert1st6 жыл бұрын
Dear Mr. Old Picker, I have tried to play along with you on many occasions but you are never tuned correctly. Is this deliberate or do you just not bother with a tuner?
@pierrelebras62116 жыл бұрын
you got it . I just don't bother checking the pitch but I have a good excuse as I don't have a tuning fork and you need to have a little work to do too . thanks for watching my videos and all the best pierre
@kingrobert1st6 жыл бұрын
@@pierrelebras6211 Oh dear...I have a bucket list of Bert & John songs to learn and you are my best yt tutor! I just dl your vids and play them back and vary the speed then check against the original I have in iTunes. Getting the right pitch is sometimes tricky...may have to detune my guitar. I have been a Bert & John admirer since I first picked up a guitar way back in 1968! My sister turned me on to British folk music and of course Pentangle. I have been struggling with Angie for 50 years now! I actually met Bert Jansch years ago in folk club. I never had the opportunity to learn these amazing pieces until I discovered them on yt tutorials. The music is so ingrained in my mind its so wonderful to be able to reproduce them at last. I'll keep persevering! You French, right? Your guitar is interesting. It's the Gibson with the reversed bridge saddle. A friend of mine owns one. I play 12 string guitar mainly which is one reason why I left Bert & John behind so many years. Keep on picking!
