If you look carefully at the behind the scenes 2024 photo shoot that PTX posted on I G (that PWN re-posted on YT) it looks like they made all of these live videos at the end of May. Appears that they also made ones for Sound of Silence, Daft Punk medley, and the Taylor Swift medley that was part of their set list for the summer tour. It also appears that they have somewhat recently signed a deal with Republic Records (who released the Ryan's World soundtrack that included PTX's performance of Thunder). Republic also has Angelina Jordan. There's the recent Scott appearance at Angelina's concert in California that you saw and reacted to, and hints that the two of them are also working on additional collaborations with Toby Gad. I've seen rumors that she may open for some of PTX's Christmas concerts, but haven't seen anything that confirms that. Soooo..... there could be a lot of new things to come in the next 1-2 years....

What I love so much about these live releases…..unless you’ve seen them in concert (or watched someone’s recording of them in concert) MOST have only seen the original video. A lot going on in the video. (Which I loved) This release just strips it down. You clearly see each one of them and what each one is bringing at what time. It’s brilliant! Pure A cappella….❤️🎶🎼🎵

I think of them as updated versions of their old hits, that feature Matt instead of Avi. Not necessary to compare them - they each stand alone.

It's very comparable to the "Official Video" version, but since it had the advantage of using the studio recording as the vocals, it makes this live version doubly impressive.

PTX just signed up with Agelina Jordan's record label as their oldc label dropped all their non Christmas songs 2 years ago. I think like Taylor Swift , they are rerecoding their old songs as the rights belong to the old label.

I think they are doing these because their old stuff were sound studio produced videos (not sure thats the right term but they prerecorded the song and then made the video) These are them singing live and being videoed. There are some reactors who think the mega phone Mitch used as a prop was used to enhance the sound and then a lot of people wonder how they sound live. This is just my opinion.

The original wasn't really babytonix times. It's just been a long time since they've been a group that the original was way back in 2017 but already 6 years into their career. The couch in the video was to symbolize their journey up until that point from their babytonix days. Not sure why the live remakes and live videos like kiss from a rose etc. Maybe it's as simple as an F you to the people that think they can't sing live. They're literally proving they can sing even better than their studio recordings. I know they also re-recorded sound of silence and daft punk. They also recorded their Taylor swift medley that they have yet to release.

Yes, they both are bangers! A more mature sound. Actually, I heard all the parts clearer on this recording. Technology has improved, of course. Seeing Mitch doing his "thing" and actually seeing Kevin doing his beat boxing is worth the view! Matt is exceptional, but his voice definitely has a different tone than Avi, so you can't compare them. The same notes are hit, with few deviations. Thanks!

They only have the record label for the Christmas music now, so if they want non-Christmas stuff, it’s on their dime, as far as we know. I kind of think if this like “Taylor’s version.” - these rereleases are live and not attached to the royalties of a studio, so they get, potentially, 100%. If they put this version on Spotify and people stop listening to the older versions, they make more money. Now I don’t know this is it, but it’s what I would do.
