This whole album shows how much our kids have really matured over the last 10 years. I love this reaction Rob! You did a fantastic job!!!!

Rob, you nailed it when you said “Their responsibility to their fans is just to be artists and create music.” Truer words about Pentatonix could not have been spoken. I absolutely love how they continue to be innovative and find new ways to showcase their talents whether it be with their voices or instruments or arrangements or mixing or production. They are the whole package to me, and I feel they still have so many wonderful treasures waiting to share with us. 😁 Btw, I’m so happy to see you have Sophie as a companion. She is so, so, so precious. Feel free to share her with us anytime she needs attention. 💞

Kirstie was writer on nearly half of this recording! She is really coming into her own this year. Vocally she’s become a BEAST! She’s belting right up there with the boys now! Rob, it’s great to see you back!

@Storm Lee Okay! This is a masively ill-conceived reply You have made to my opinion about Kirstie in the video.! I've been a Pentaholic since 2012 and I've watched videos on virtually every manifestation of PTX members: from Sup3rfruit, to solo projects, interviews, TV performances, live concerts and finally, on 7-3-19, a VIP meeting with the band at their Tacoma Dome concert. There I gave each member a music packet which included sheet music, scores and CD of the piece I wrote for them!! I am an award-winning composer-pianist and I Know what I'm talking about! Kirstie HERSELF has admitted many times that she lacked confidence in her early years and that she was reluctant to take a prominent lead role in much of the output from those beginning times. All of us Kirstie fans disagreed with her self-assessment, but the fact is that with her stint on Broadway, her extensive touring with PTX and producing her LOVE EP as well as her maturing as a woman--both as a person and vocally--her voice became more powerful! THAT'S the factual information whether you like it or not, and frankly, I am personally offended by your comments about my response to the video in question!

There truly isn't a bad song. You know how the flip side of a single was kinda eh, there isn't an eh in this album. I just loved this whole album. I think they really outdid themselves with this! Every song blows me away! And snuggles to Sophie, she's sooo adorable! Have you see the cover Mitch just did to Billie Eilish's Your Power? It's entrancing. So glad to see you back Rob!

I remember being so delighted when Scott asked on Twitter what everyone's favorites were and EVERYONE had a different answer. I don't think any of the songs were left out of the responses, either. That's incredibly rare in an album!

I just discovered this reaction and I’ve listened to it twice. I love this album so much, so thanks for reacting to it. I totally agree with you about not putting themselves in a box or being only one thing for us. I love them branching out. I saw them in Paris in May last year and they did a group medley of some of this album and also a short Mitch solo spot of his parts. I would pay to go and see a concert of just these songs. I love this album so much. I still listen to it very frequently in 2024!!!💜💜

No. Mitch wrote Never gonna cry again along with two other people. It’s my favorite on the album. The lyrics are beautiful and devastating at the same time. And, of course, Mitch nailed the vocals, as usual.

Your puppy is so cute! This album is the perfect next step for Ptx’s sound, in my humble opinion. I love everything about it. It does not bother me either that they are trying new things. They still kept it primarily focused on vocals, enhanced in some way or not, and that is their signature awesome sound. The songwriting on this is so good, too.

Thanks for your reaction! I'm so proud of them! This album is soo personal. It deserved more. It didn't get the recognition it deserves at all. The lyrics of Never Gonna Cry Again and It's Different Now make me cry lol

The lyrics of Different Now just slay me. 'I've been holding my hopes waist-high so they won't tumble down and keep me yesterday bound' I mean MY GOD. Honestly just poetry of the best kind.

I’ve not seen anyone review this album and I’m so glad you did. Isn’t it wonderful? It’s now 2022 and I thought of you when I saw them in Sugarland Texas during the Holidays. It’s so terrific to see them in person again. Hope you are well and enjoying life. Hugs from Houston.

Good morning Rob! I drive my 8 year old granddaughter to school every morning, because they moved out of district but she's finishing out the school year. We just listened to this on the way to school today, she's a huge PTX fan too! I'm excited to listen to it again with you now!

I just did a quick calculation of the percentage writing contributions of the group (I didn't include all the outside writers, only the 5 members of Pentatonix). Kirsten wrote 36%, Mitch wrote 20%, Scott wrote 16%, Kevin wrote 10%, Matt wrote 7%, and the entire group collaborated on 1 song (Happy Now) for 10%. And it was interesting that 5 of the songs had multiple contributors, 1 was a full group contribution, and 5 of them had a single contributor (Kirsten for 3, Mitch and Scott each with 1). It is nice to see that everyone had a hand in the writing to at least some extent.
